Terrible story!

Hard to follow and way too many twists and turn. Wouldn't recommend! The story line just kept going and going. And I felt like the author was grasping for a better story but could just never come up with one. I finished it thinking that the end would be good But it was even worse.

Beautifully written and uplifting!

I loved that Rebecca herself was the narrator. It felt much more heartfelt and relatable. I loved the prayers after each chapter too! I have traveled down this same road and although I don't live in captivity any longer, I still live with guilt and sadness. I loved the feeling I had after finishing the book- a sense of strength and filled with hope. Thank you Rebecca for sharing your story.

The beginning of the book started out strong but it dragged on and on. I was listening to each chapter waiting for it to get better and it never did. The catching/hiatus moment was so dull. w

This long drawn out story is barely worth one star. Absolutely wouldn't recommend. When I was on Chapter 40- and still nothing exciting had happened I jumped to the last chapter. I couldn't take it anymore. I've read her other books and enjoyed them but this was dreadful. I kept waiting for it to get good and it never did. Same lines were repeated over and over and it literally could have all ben condensed into about 5 chapters . Don't waste your time or money.
