Historia
Passionate, idealistic Rose Tregarth may have been invited into her uncle's remote home in the heart of Wales as an act of kindness to a poor relation, but it doesn't take her long to realize that her newly-met family members are eccentric, creative, deeply lovable - and in need of all the help they can get. If the crumbling medieval walls of Gogodd Abbey aren't to collapse around their heads at any moment, someone will have to step up and take charge of the situation. Fortunately for all of them, Rose has never lacked in determination.

Loved the 1st and 2nd books cant wait for the 3rd!
Revisado: 01-16-25
I was definitely a fan after the first book and instantly dived into the second book of this series. I love them! Anyone with a soft spot for animals and creatures of all kinds as well as fantasy and classical romance will love these books! While there is a carryover of some characters from book 1 to book 2 which helps keep readers engaged and the big picture story moving along, I have one criticism. I noticed that the character of Mr. Aubrey was not consistently portrayed in the second book. I thought that his character was quite different in how he presented himself and how he acted from the first book to the second. I liked the changes in his character, I just wish that it was a better transition or explained at all in the second book because when I first started reading it, I wasn't entirely sure it was in fact the same character from the first book. His personality, focus, and level of intensity had seemed to change quite a bit from book 1 to book 2 with no explanation what so ever.
I am still a huge fan of these books and will read them again and again and I EAGERLY AWAIT the next installment of the Regency Dragons series!! The narrator of this book was different from the one for the first book which I didn't mind at all since its from a different characters perspective. I think she also did a wonderful job and kudos on the casting because both narrators for both books have been a perfect choice. If ever the series makes it that far, it would be amazing to hear all of the narrators from each individuals installment perform together if all sisters make it back together again.

Historia
Sensible, practical Elinor Tregarth really did plan to be the model poor relation when she moved into Hathergill Hall. She certainly never meant to kidnap her awful cousin Penelope's pet dragon. She never expected to fall in love with the shameless—but surprisingly sweet—fortune hunter who came to court Penelope. And she never dreamed that she would have to enter into an outrageous magical charade to save her younger sisters' futures. However, even the most brilliant scholars of 1817 England still haven't ferreted out all the lurking secrets of rediscovered dragonkind.

Expertly merged fantasy with classic literature
Revisado: 01-16-25
This book was very well done! Its the best of both worlds! I thought the juxtaposition between the clear classical romance and curious fantasy was wonderfully well done. I loved the complexity of the characters and plot as well as the way the author maintained the language and social paradigms of the age. This story while intense and exciting at times was also very lighthearted and charming. Narrator also did a wonderful job, I really enjoyed her performance and thought she was the perfect fit.

Historia
Helen Decatur spent a lifetime setting goals - getting through college and law school, opening her own practice, becoming financially secure and establishing herself as one of the most highly respected matrimonial attorneys in the state of South Carolina. Achieving those goals was a breeze compared to the one she’s faced with now. The most driven - and cynical - of the Sweet Magnolias, Helen is 42, single, and suddenly ready for the family she’s put on the back burner for all these years.

Ok story, bad narration.
Revisado: 05-03-23
Wish they would stop changing narrators and it seems as though with every book, I just started #4, the narration gets progressively worse. I liked the plot of the story at first but as the story got deeper and more intense I did not enjoy several of the choices that were made in regards to Helen and Eric’s story as well as Karen’s. I thought overall that the story shined a negative light on women, single mothers, women who are trying to have a baby and I was NOT swept away by the “romance”….or lack there of. To be frank at the pinnacle of Helen and Eric’s story it gave me a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I don’t think I will be listening to this book again. So far my least favorite in the series.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

Wish it was longer!

I loved this continuing story! I just wish it was longer! I think it still aligns with the previous story well enough and the performances were spot on.
