Historia
To the uninitiated, Savannah shows only her bright face and genteel manner. Those who know her well, though, can see beyond her colonial trappings and small-city charm to a world where witchcraft is respected, Hoodoo is feared, and spirits linger. Mercy Taylor is all too familiar with the supernatural side of Savannah, being a member of the most powerful family of witches in the South. Despite being powerless herself, of course. Having grown up without magic of her own, in the shadow of her talented and charismatic twin sister, Mercy has always thought herself content.

Loved it!
Revisado: 06-11-15
I was really apprehensive about listening to this book because of the southern twangy accent. I am from the South, but I have such a hard time listening to stories with a drawn out accent. I am SO glad I listened to this one though. The narrator had a very captivating voice and her accent fit perfectly in with the storyline. I didn't feel like she was drawing things out or making it seem unrealistic. I was actually excited to listen to this. Plus the story was GREAT, so bonus! The book has been on my ever growing and unruly TBR list and I haven't had time to fit it in. KU had this with narration so I decided to give it a shot. You will not be disappointed if you like fantasy.

When Kate Pierce-Keller’s grandmother gives her a strange blue medallion and speaks of time travel, sixteen-year-old Kate assumes the old woman is delusional. But it all becomes horrifyingly real when a murder in the past destroys the foundation of Kate’s present-day life. Suddenly, that medallion is the only thing protecting Kate from blinking out of existence. Kate learns that the 1893 killing is part of something much more sinister, and her genetic ability to time travel makes Kate the only one who can fix the future.

This was such a good audio book. I loved the narrator, her performance was great. The storyline was really good, I loved all of the twists and turns. Can't wait to listen to/read more.

Great Story - Not so great performance
Revisado: 01-27-15
I gave the performance 3 stars only because it was slightly better than the 1st book (which I gave 1 star for performance). I feel that she doesn't do justice for this book. It is SUCH a great series, but her voice makes it difficult to enjoy. I recommend that you read this series first and then listen (if you can get past the monotonous drone of her voice).

Awesome Book/Narration!
Revisado: 01-16-15
What made the experience of listening to Graceling the most enjoyable?
This was my first audio book where there were so many different people who narrated. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but it didn't take long for me to fall completely in love it. (I already loved the book) This was so a great listening experience. My 4 year old thought it was a movie every time I listened in the car because of all of the voices of the characters and the sound effects.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
It was so unique to hear so many narrators tell a story this way. I would love to hear more audio books narrated like this one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh out loud so many times.

GREAT BOOK - Bad Narration
Revisado: 01-16-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I loved this book when I read it, and I was so excited to see it as an audio book. I have listened to a ton of audio books, and this, by far, is one of the worst narrations I have ever heard. I feel like she is extremely rushed and it has been hard to follow. I would not recommend the audiobook, but I would absolutely recommend the actual book. I think Annie Walls did a fantastic job on this and the 2nd book. I am extremely bummed that this audio version was so bad...
