Historia
Britain, early 10th century AD: a time of change. There are new raids by the Vikings from Ireland, and turmoil among the Saxons over the leadership of Mercia. A younger generation is taking over. Æthelred, the ruler of Mercia, is dying, leaving no legitimate heir. The West Saxons want their king, but Uhtred has long supported Athelflaed, sister to King Edward of Wessex and widow of Aethelred. Widely loved and respected, Athelflaed has all the makings of a leader - but can Saxon warriors ever accept a woman as their ruler?

Invigorating! Yet casual!
Revisado: 04-18-25
I love any story with medieval themes, and when I went searching for a good book and this book was just what I wanted! I’ll admit it was a long start before the story got remotely interesting, but kept me reading and anticipating for more action!! My only reason it’s a 4, is because I read both with the book and the audible book (if I’m driving, cleaning, or cleaning). The reader and at times the writers pace felt a bit (slower then need be), but otherwise a well desired story! Definitely looking forward to more books from this author!
Side note: it helped to put the listening speed to 1.30-1.45 when it got really slow.

Breath of fresh air
Revisado: 04-15-25
In fear of spoiling anything. Overall I enjoyed this book and possibly a new series I’m looking forward to! I will say in the beginning I wasn’t a fan of all the guys who were “not good” but I guess it created character development. I was satisfied with the end however, hoping Andrew and Jack make a comeback in the next book!

A Journey worth taking
Revisado: 02-22-24
I’ve heard about this book, but never thought to try it until now, I will admit I was curious to what what would unfold, but overall I loved the story. I was not a fan of the final task, due to I’m not sure I’d do the same as Feyre had done, but I’m happy that they lived happily ever after. I highly recommend this book, looking forward to the rest of the series!

I was surprised mid way and was curious how long the obsession would last, but very happy with the ending especially considering how long the bad guys were in charged! The story and narration were amazing!

Historia
Life on an Ohio farm couldn't hold young Bill Carey. He wanted the adventure he knew waited in the territories to the west. He'd drifted into the outlaw life and found himself shot up, a lawman on his trail, holed up on a small farm near the lair of Tabat Ryerson. Ryerson, the man who'd introduced him to cattle rustling and bank robbery, was a cold-blooded killer, the man who'd turned the sweet young woman who'd saved Carey's life into an unwilling accomplice.

Historia
In this era of indecision, fearfulness, and compromise, the world cries out for decisive leadership. Be it political or Christian, the world is clamoring for dynamic direction. What a Difference a Line Can Make is a treatise of Holy Ghost direction that has been overlooked and is long overdue. Simultaneously concise and in-depth, this book offers a crystal-clear view of Holiness themes that have been for the most part abandoned by Christendom but long held dear by God and his people.
