Historia
Shana wakes up one morning to discover her little sister in the grip of a strange malady. She appears to be sleepwalking. She cannot talk and cannot be woken up. And she is heading with inexorable determination to a destination that only she knows. But Shana and her sister are not alone. Soon, they are joined by a flock of sleepwalkers from across America, on the same mysterious journey. And like Shana, there are other "shepherds" who follow the flock to protect their friends and family on the long dark road ahead.

Stand-ish but also fresh
Revisado: 09-07-24
This apocalypse in motion is so Stand- ish that the author recognizes it in the text, but Wendig makes the tale his own, rips our hearts out and our world apart in clever ways with characters you love, hate, and love to hate.

Historia
Carolyn's not so different from the other human beings around her. After all, she was a normal American herself once. That was a long time ago, of course - before the time she calls "adoption day", when she and a dozen other children found themselves being raised by a man they learned to call Father.

tremendous world building
Revisado: 02-04-17
this book was fantastic. moments of intense revulsion, pushed an emotional and existential boundary but was consistent in tone. an entertaining and contemporary holy book with a tight, efficient world build.

national treasure meets x-files
Revisado: 01-28-17
audible quality is strong. the story moves quick, the characters gain depth and you slip through a thoroughly constructed scenario with a lot of twists and turns, I'm afraid none of them is particularly compelling to me, but the assembly of them is well done and I'll likely read the next in the series.
