One Corinthians?

I liked the book and the story and character development were well done. The narrator was good but pronouncing I Corinthians as One Corinthians was hard to swallow. Please, editors and narrators do a little research.
This mistake shouldn't deter anyone from listening to a very good book,

You must hear this book.

If you are interested in politics, public policy, personality disorders or just good human stories you must not miss this book. It is another story that demonstrates truth is stranger than fiction. In my work and life I have had contact with quite a few people with personality disorders but never anyone who was able to perpetrate as much evil and mayhem as this woman. Welfare fraud was just a fraction of her actions.

Why can’t narrators make a quick phone call to a city or location and hear the locals pronounce the name? Or Google it?!? Biloxi is pronounced Biluxi. Not a big secret. And those weren’t even close to Mississippi accents. Do a little research! The story is pretty lame compared to most of Baldacci’s books.

Good story

This was a good WW II story like so many others I have read or listened to. It had good character development and it wasn’t as graphic as some books on the same topic. But the narrators should have been German speakers. The accents made me laugh a little but didn’t detract from the story. The children had more of a cockney accent and at times some characters sounded Irish. Otherwise, it was worth my time and I enjoyed it.

This was really fun to listen to. This girl was evil! I almost listened to it straight through because I wanted to see what she was going to do.

A must read

This book made me think of Octavia Butler or Maya Angelou. It is really interesting that it was written in 1937. It is definitely one that is better listened to. Ruby Dee was an amazing narrator. I am texting my friends to be sure they don’t miss it.

I love Lisbeth Salander books and this one was good. However, it was so much shorter there wasn't time for
Lisbeth to do as much hacking or martial arts. It didn't have quite the plot development that the longer books have. Maybe the next one will be more developed.

This book just wore me out. There was way too much time spent on the interrogation of a suspect. And I could not bring myself to care about the main character. It really wasn't even passably entertaining.

Richly creative

I love Octavia Butler's books. I also read Kindred. I don't usually read science fiction or fantasy books. But these books are different. Her characters are well developed and the stories are gripping and richly imaginative. I found them to be enriching.
