I really enjoyed this book about 2 individuals, down on their luck and working through it all and finding each other in the midst of all of it. We've seen Killian in past books and have had little glimpses of his personality so it was nice to see this book about him. There is a lot of healing through music, and the banter between the Killian and Jameson is such a fun listen.

I was fortunate to have been able to listen to the audiobook, and as always, Kim Loraine's audiobooks deliver. JF Harding and James Joseph play our heroes. The way they portray Killian and Jameson's insecurities and vulnerability is so palpable and swoon worthy!

Shay Zucconi needed a change, and it came in an unexpected inheritance of her step-grandmother's quirky farm where she lived for a couple of years and met Noah back in high school. They developed a friendship that fizzled out through the years. The stipulations of Shay's inheritance requires her to be married, so she and Noah get into an agreement to marry and both get something out of the land.

In A Jam was one of the best books I have read in 2022. It has a little bit of everything that works for me in books, romance, comedy, swoony heroes, a relatable heroine, and awesome side characters. In fact, this was one of the funniest books I have read, thanks to a lovely kid named Gennie. She has the worst potty mouth, totally not age-appropriate, but she was such a hoot.

After reading the book, I had an opportunity to listen to the audio version and was so excited by this. Jason Clarke narrated Noah and Kit Swann narrated Shay. I absolutely admire both of their work and it was just so much fun to have this book come to life in audio. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall just to see how the narrators reacted to Gennie's awesome language.

3 stars for the book, 5 stars for the audio performance.

The premise of this book was very exciting but it unfortunately didn’t work for me. There was so much detail given to some elements, like describing the cars driven by Max; but ultimately, I had a hard time connecting to the characters. I never understood why Max didn’t immediately step in when the threat against Cress was apparent and why Cress was so unsupported as a best-selling author.

While I have reservations with the storyline, the audiobook narration was stellar with Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder voicing the characters. There were lots of accent work and English and French accents were French kiss!

Oh Alexi Skolov!

Oh Alexi Skolov, you were broken as much as you were lovable.

On this third installment of Ruthless Warlords, which follows the Skolov Family in their quest to find their siblings that were stolen from them while they were babies, we learn about Alexi and the beast that he has been working so hard at controlling. Since the attack on his family, he has been trying to contain himself and the monster lurking inside of him. When they find a viable lead to their siblings, Alexi volunteers himself to broker the deal with a competing family to get more of the information that he needed and find his baby siblings. Through this process, he meets Keira, who is an Omega and has the uncanny ability to calm him.

This book had a lot of hot Omegaverse scenes that will melt pages. But what I really liked about this book was their quest to find Mikhail. It was full of twists and has a satisfying end to it. I cannot wait for Damian's book.

I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of this book and oh my goodness, Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter will just about literally make you melt. Jason's growl is just absolutely perfect as an Omega alpha and Stella's take no prisoners approach to this story is such a delight for the ears.

This book just takes you to a roller coaster of feelings. It will make you mad, cry, laugh, sigh, and cross your legs it is so good.

Temptation is the last book of the Mate Games and focuses on the journey from Daddy Caleb's perspective. This book started out almost in that calm, surreal backdrop and then it goes on to the culmination of the Mate Games...why fate brought them altogether to bring on the end of days. There's a lot of action, and you would find yourself yelling at certain parts because you will be so engrossed in the story. Oh yeah, and that little thing in the end made my smile and go, OMG! Then there's also the whole this is a reverse harem with some very hormonal participants; and thus, the leg crossing. I love the bromance that has developed throughout the series and the ending evokes such thought.

The audio version was just spectacular, as always. Stella Hunter as Sunday gets to shine in this who series, and the backing of the 4 amazing men given voice by James Joseph, Aaron Shedlock, JF Harding and Jason Clarke was such a treat. They each were such a great embodiment of each of those characters, I couldn't get enough.

In So Not Meant To Be we read the story of JP and Kelsey. We first meet them in a Not So Meet Cute and they are the siblings of Hux and Lottie.

In true Meghan Quinn fashion, there are many hilarious scenes on this book that are so ridiculous but they make you laugh out loud. It also has some pretty intense scenes that melt the pages. Be warned though, this book burns slow as it goes through the motions of the development of feelings between the characters.

Getting to revisit with some MQ-verse characters in Kelsey's podcast was a nice surprise.

The audio version was narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter. Though not the initial voices I heard in my head while reading the book, they work well with the story. The banter is on point and the way they voice the vulnerability of JP and Kelsey are great.

They're all back and they have thoughts about something new in the industry. Time has passed since These Walls Can Talk. Anyone who follows audiobooks closely would highly enjoy this continuation of the group's story. Friendships are made and some have changed. Vera and Cameron are making changes with mixed results; Neil is now an in-demand narrator, Georgia has questionable naptime tricks; Niffer and Andrea are spreading their wings; Atticus misses a friend; Frankie has secrets and new addition Artie won't stop pivoting.

As with the past TWCT plays, Erin Mallon has written a funny and compelling story about the trials and tribulations of romance book narration. This play touches on the balance of audiobook narrations, working with authors, and the impact of AI narration in this space. One of the great things about this series that I love is that it is obviously written in an exaggerated way; however, anyone who follows this industry at all will raise their eyebrow wondering how close to the truth this really could be. I love it, I enjoyed everything about it, the freaking rap battle was a treat. ALso loved having the blooper reel on the audio version.

I was able to listen to a copy of the audio version. The whole cast was amazing. Teddy Hamilton, Tanya Eby, Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Emma Wilder, Maxine Mitchell, Andi Arndt, Shane East and Jason Clarke were such a delight to listen to.

This was such a mind-bender and so good because of it. Quinn is a dream weaver who has the ability to manipulate people's memories. Finley is a billionaire by day and guardian in the Undercover Magic world all the other times. They are given an assignment to help another guardian with a curse but ended up getting entagled within it themselves. This forces Quinn to open up to Finn and goodness, was it a nailbiter.

The audio version was narrated by Stella Hunter and Shane East. the chemistry, the dirty banted was so juicy between these two characters. It was so fun to listen to.

The Kingmakers series is the next generation of the Brutal Birthright Series. You don't have to read Brutal Birthright to enjoy it but it does add to the enjoyment if you do. I highly recommend at least looking through the family trees that are included in the beginning of the book.

I was very much intrigued by this series because while I am not the biggest mafia trope fan, I actually really enjoyed reading the first book in the Brutal Birthright series. The Kingmakers has a great concept. All the Mafia-family spawn go to the same "college" to have a safe haven from each other, as well as learn the ropes of the workings of the mafia. Then the Quartum Bellum begins and it's all adventure, suspense and then love. In the end, it was nice to see Leo grow as a leader.

The audio version was narrated by Chloe Ryan, Michael Gallaher and Gregory Salinas. Chloe and Michael are both new-to-me narrators and I enjoyed their performance. I believe in how they told Leo and Anna's stories. Gregory Salinas played Dean. He was very dark in this one, just like the character.

Claire Marti was a new to me author when I was given the chance to listen to the audio version of this book. California Suits follows a group of friends and their way to becoming captains of their industry. If this pilot book, we learn about the tension between Ryan and Charlie. They were former coworkers but unsure of the reason why, one of Ryan's investors pushes for him to hire Charlie, despite not liking her marketing style.

Overall, it was an endearing story. You can't help but root for the success of this new hotel and for Ryan and Charlie to find common ground.

The audio version was narrated by Vanessa Edwin who is so great at portraying strong female characters yet show vulnerability. Tim Paige narrates for Ryan and I thought that he did an awesome job at it.
