Historia
"The hour of capitalism's greatest triumph," writes Hernando de Soto, "is, in the eyes of four-fifths of humanity, its hour of crisis." In The Mystery of Capital, the world-famous Peruvian economist takes up one of the most pressing questions the world faces today: Why do some countries succeed at capitalism while others fail?

Limited use
Revisado: 01-29-22
I was disappointed because this book was of no use to me and limited use overall. The point was easily made in one chapter. A whole book was not needed.
The point of the book is why capitalism has not worked well in 3rd world or former socialist countries because there was no way to record property rights. Not just land but business and intellectual rights
Without good confirmable title, people can not get loans and leverage their “capital”. Certainly he goes into more detail but that is the basic point.
While this book may be of value to someone who works at the World Bank, or someone interested in international affairs, it doesn’t add much if any value to your typical business man in the US

Historia
There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices.

Better than I expected
Revisado: 01-26-21
I already knew of the benefits of fasting, and was familiar with intermittent fasting. In part from what I had already learned from Dave Asprey and his podcast. Intermittent fasting was how I planned to start.
Because of the above didn’t have much expectation that I would get much out of this. Yet I found it fascinating and couldn’t stop listening.
Dave goes into many aspects of fasting; benefits, techniques, hacks to make it easier, different things you can fast from, and spiritual aspects. He takes each of these to a deeper level than I was familiar with.
Some books do not adapt well to audio. This was easy to listen to. He does give some specific recommendations. So a paper copy would allow you to highlight and mark pages.
Happy listening.

Very interesting but too long
Revisado: 01-11-20
This was a great story and works well as an audio book( some books are better read than listened to)
The are lots of investing tips or more correctly lots of good investing philosophy. But if you are a follower of Warren Buffett, there is nothing new in this regard.
You will learn a lot about his personal life, and details of many deals that got him where he is. This is sometimes a problem as this sometimes goes into unneeded tedious detail. This makes the book much longer than needed.
The book ends in 2008 with no information on how the crash affected him or how he responded.
If you like Warren Buffett this is a good listen.
