Great book that is a captivating fairytale for adults! It reminded me of beauty and the beast and twilight, only it seemed do new. I couldn’t stop listening!

Historia
Harriet and Wyn have been the perfect couple since they met in college—they go together like salt and pepper, honey and tea, lobster and rolls. Except, now—for reasons they’re still not discussing—they don’t. They broke up five months ago. And still haven’t told their best friends.

Loved the book and the writers style. There were some emotional one liners. Kept me engaged and was interesting, I finished it in a day while traveling.

Historia
Mrs. Post, the President and First Lady are here to see you. . . . So begins another average evening for Marjorie Merriweather Post. Presidents have come and gone, but she has hosted them all. Growing up in the modest farmlands of Battle Creek, Michigan, Marjorie was inspired by a few simple rules: always think for yourself, never take success for granted, and work hard—even when deemed American royalty, even while covered in imperial diamonds.

WHAT A LIFE
Revisado: 01-30-23
Truly an incredible life of a woman who was inspiring and so generous. She impacted so many lives around the world and while she did mention some of those things there were not too many details or stories so the book seems to come off as self serving and consumed with materialistic things. Regardless it was great and I really enjoyed it. And I also really loved the narrator!

Turning 40!
Revisado: 08-29-22
With my 40th birthday less then a week away I thought this would be a good book and it was. I appreciated the different emotions it brought out as I read and I recognized similar feelings that the main character was experiencing. My fathers name is also Leonard. As she described hers I quickly visualized my own who was insanely similar. He too drank coke and smoked like a freight train and was some what mysterious. My father recently passed so there were a lot of bittersweet moments. At times it definitely made me reminisce and wish I would have kept a journal. It made me feel grateful for the past, who I was and the things I had, even the bad. It all makes who I am today, which at almost 40, I am proud of and love the life I have. Great listen!
