I was having a bit of a hard time with the main protagonist in this story. The story came around and tied things together. Good narration and some revelations.

Very sick and twisty, but a good tale.
Revisado: 05-24-25
This is a LOT, but extremely imaginative. I think it went on a little long at the end and I was put off by the way the two narrators delivered nearly every single line with a snide lilt, but the storyline, although a bit far-fetched, kept me listening.
Liked it all but the narration.

Very dark with a lot going on.
Revisado: 05-16-25
This story is dark… very dark. There are really no likable characters in it, which is a good thing. This is not my usual cup of tea, but I found it interesting. There is really more than one plot going on here. True evil lives in this book and I couldn’t stop from wondering about the mind of someone who could come up with this story!
I surprised myself by liking this book, and will definitely read more from Marie Still.

Revisado: 03-27-25
Scott Brick can at times be great. He can also at times be not so great. Sadly, for me, this time is the latter.
That, combined with what seems to be a story padded with paragraphs and paragraphs of inane, completely unnecessary dialogue made this story just unlistenable for me.
The more Mr. Brick over exaggerated dialogue, tying to make what was clearly a book paid by the world, interesting, my anxiety level increased.
A complete miss for me.

Historia
When Anna Hartley’s husband, Henry, calls her with a terrible, guilty confession, she can’t believe what she hears. It has to be a bad joke—the mild, predictable artist she married would never hurt a fly, let alone commit murder.
