The time spent on listening to this book seemed to never end. I asked myself on 3 or 4 occasions, why am I still listening to this?

It just seems to me that this work was printed from the authors rough draft notes and bypast the editor, altogether.

I did like my introduction to James Langton and appreciated his performance but I don't know if I am able to buy another work of Felix J. Palma.

The heroine reminds me of a couple of people long in my past. This story reminds me of books from Norman and Burroughs. How nice it is to hear them mixed together.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mix and have already purchased the second installment.

A Harper a day keeps the doctor away!

Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi are a sinch duo to make me smile and laugh out loud, a lot. When I need cheering up, it seems my first choice is this pair.

That was the case here, when I was transported to Half-Moon Hollow and heard the hillarity begin.

Painful, infuriating & maddening to listing to.

This was almost the worst audiobook experience that I have endured. It certainly is the worst one that I forced myself to finish.

I won't try the next one in the series.

The repeats over and over along with the buzzing/hissing was distracting at first, then annoying and certainly served no purpose(for me) other than detract from my possible enjoyment, if any.

What a mouth! FUNNY!

Jane / Amanda R, remind me of an 2 hp Evenrude outboard motor I had owned, way back when. They just putt, putt, putted along without a hic-up. Refreshing and funny quips that at times had me wondering about a different environment than my own.

This was not my usual interest in books, but as with others that I have stumbled across, deserves more attention. I will be getting the next in the series and then...who knows.

If you want a Hero, keep looking!

I could not form an on-going attachment to any character. I need some kind of redeeming feature or value, which soon evaporated after the introduction of each new cast member.

I had to stop listening after 6 hours and hopefully will try again later. The setting of the story is interesting and the way Michael Page(Narrator) brought it to me was like a movie in my mind.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. This is the genre of book that I read for pure entertainment and that is exactly what I got. I was thoroughly absorbed on a Sunday afternoon & evening.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It was definitely interesting, especially toward the end.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

After reading so many negative reviews, I almost didn't get this book because I usually read those reviews to see if anything falls in my sphere of interest. I'm beginning to think we had listened to two different books.

I am hard pressed to find any faults with the story or performance. It was a fast paced adventure that I had no problem following, from beginning to end. All of the characters were well accounted for and introduced as to their relevance in the storyline.

When I finished this book, I immediately bought the sequel..."Gideon's Corpse".

Merci, of course, because of the way Lorelei King presenter her, she seemed real to me.

Have you listened to any of Lorelei King’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first listen to her. I have put LK on my short list of favorites, so it won't be last.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Mercedes was using the language that all mechanics use in an effort to loosen an obstinate bolt.

Dunnywood dwelled so much on defeatism, if only's and poor me's, that if it wouldn't have been for Reg, I couldn't have finished this book.
