A delightful listen
Revisado: 05-10-25
I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did, and it is so sad to see there are not more books like this. The author takes extensive research about the lives of common village women in the Middles Ages and weaves a narrative of the daily life of one woman through the cycle of the year. There is no major conflict, just extensive detail of the woman living her life and the workings of the village as seen through her eyes. It is absolutely relaxing, entertaining, and informative at the same time. I would love to see the author produce more historical narrative fiction like this focusing on women in other locations (cities) or other roles.

Nothing new offered
Revisado: 01-03-24
I read many books of this genre, and the author did not offer any new insights or information in this work. The book is really just the standard regurgitation of ancient alien material mixed in with the typical conspiracy theories. Based on reading other reviews, I see the author has a podcast, and maybe that is good, but the content of this book does not stand out as remarkable.
The narrator is not a bad reader, but he sounds like he is reading a bedtime story to put you to sleep. It is not the best tone for this type of book.

Historia
Chronicling the history of the Reptilian Empire's influence on Earth and their conquest of 21 star systems, Kasten reveals how the human race is enmeshed in a skillfully concealed plot to enslave humanity and exploit our planet's physical and biological resources. Revealing Hitler's pact with extraterrestrials and the Reptilian influence on the Nazi state, he shares new documents that disclose the rescue and rehabilitation of Nazi war criminals to assist in the Cold War, which then corrupted many US government institutions.

This is just awful
Revisado: 03-24-23
Even for the conspiracy theory genre-- this is BAD. This is a random collection of the most ridiculous conspiracy theories combined with information that can be proven false that the author has assembled in a narrative. I have read many alternative history/conspiracy type books, is the worst I have ever seen. Skip this one and select from the more established writers in the genre who at least cite their sources.

A personal treatise
Revisado: 12-11-22
This is more of the author's personal opinion and treatise about the Gaia Hypothesis, not a book explaining and defending the hypothesis. Since this is the author's perspective, there are many unsubstantiated opinions and assumptions of evolution, science, and spirituality. The narrator was good.

If you love Hellier, you'll love this

This is a great podcast forcused on true-life conspiracy, the paranormal, and synchronisity in Kentucky. If you are thinking something so Kentucky-focused can't be that interesting to someone who has never been there--you're wrong. The stories woven together by the narrator are enthralling. The podcast is also challenging-- it requires that you try to understand theory and keep track historical events. I am so glad this came to Audible.
