I have enjoyed this narrator in many previous books BUT
Revisado: 04-29-24
The high pitched, breathy, overwrought little damsel in distress voice does not end and is making me crazy. I am persevering as I really like the story but I really dislike this narration.

Really enjoyed this one. Gentle, heartwarming likable main characters. I am sure I will return to this for gentle comfort read. Not my favourite narrator but I did find I got used to her (it's her male voices that grate a bit for me)

Leon, a night shift worker, will take the apartment during the day, and Tiffy can have it nights and weekends. He'll only ever be there when she's at the office. In fact, they'll never even have to meet.

I really enjoyed this story of a couple getting to know each other slowly. Really loved our kind, introverted hero and our learning to trust herself after getting out of a manipulative relationship heroine. And found both narrators excellent.

I love a beauty and the beast retelling and this one is enjoyable but I can not listen to the narration. This wavery, strange emphasis on the final syllable vocal fry just sends me over the edge. We all must hear things differently as many seem to enjoy it...

It had so much promise...
Revisado: 12-06-19
I found this one hugely disappointing as I was enjoying the first half so much. I enjoyed the world building and our competent resourceful heroine who puts herself at risk to save others, has snark, and begins to learn lessons in trust and relating to others.
Then it devolves into this must be conquered by the barbarian romance. She looses any agency she has and starts acting like a teenager with sulks and foot stomping. Blech.
