Historia
Dave Ramsey shares Biblical wisdom on the legacy we build with our wealth. What does the Bible really say about money? About wealth? How much does God expect you to give to others? How does wealth affect your friendships, marriage, and children? How much is "enough"? There’s a lot of bad information in our culture today about wealth - and the wealthy. Worse, there’s a growing backlash in America against our most successful neighbors, but why?

Important and helpful

Dave does a great job of highlighting the priorities of families and their money. His messages can and should be part of everyday conversations around spending, saving and giving.

Historia
“I am fat,” begins Judith Moore’s unflinching account of her life. As she describes her obsessions with food, struggles with self image and troubled relationships, she refuses to become an object of pity. Moore is the recipient of two NEA grants and a Guggenheim fellowship. Her previous book, also a memoir, was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year.

Disappointing and brutal
Revisado: 08-21-23
This listen was so far from what I expected. There was no hope, no strength, and no word of a future with purpose. I’m saddened from listening and not enriched in any way. The writer missed an opportunity to inspire others who may have similar experiences. I believe she over-shared and under-delivered.

Historia
When author Jeff Hobbs arrived at Yale University, he became fast friends with the man who would be his college roommate for four years, Robert Peace. Robert's life was rough from the beginning in the crime-ridden streets of Newark in the 1980s, with his father in jail and his mother earning less than $15,000 a year. But Robert was a brilliant student, and it was supposed to get easier when he was accepted to Yale, where he studied molecular biochemistry and biophysics.

Excellent
Revisado: 06-01-23
This story is worth telling. Tragic yes, but hope-filled at so many times. Peace’s life touched so many others. Hobbs did an excellent job with the telling.

Historia
In The Collapse of Parenting, Leonard Sax, an acclaimed expert on parenting and childhood development, identifies a key problem plaguing American children, especially relative to other countries: the dramatic decline in young people's achievement and psychological health. The root of this problem, Sax contends, lies in the transfer of authority from parents to their children, a shift that has been occurring over the last 50 years and is now impossible to ignore.

Excellent content for today’s parents and educators
Revisado: 06-22-22
In our culture of fearful and fragile children the author shows parents a better way. I’ll be recommending this to many parents and friends.
