Historia
Nisha Cantor lives the globetrotting life of the seriously wealthy, until her husband announces a divorce and cuts her off. Nisha is determined to hang onto her glamorous life. That’s because Sam Kemp—in the bleakest point of her life—has accidentally taken Nisha’s gym bag. But Sam hardly has time to worry about a lost gym bag—she’s struggling to keep herself and her family afloat.

Great book and performance
Revisado: 07-15-24
I like the ladies relationships and how they grew together. It was relatable to me (maybe not others who haven’t found themselves in similar scenarios). Performance was outstanding

Historia
Monday mornings aren’t supposed to be fun, but they should be predictable. However, on this particular Monday, Stephanie Plum knows that something is amiss when she turns up for work at Vinnie’s Bail Bonds to find that longtime office manager Connie Rosolli, who is as reliable as the tides in Atlantic City, hasn’t shown up. Stephanie’s worst fears are confirmed when she gets a call from Connie’s abductor. He says he will only release her in exchange for a mysterious coin that a recently murdered man left as collateral for his bail.

Revisado: 10-22-22
I like the narration performance and the story overall. Characters are interesting and complete enough I could picture them although I know this is a series with even more development to come. Part of my audible plus so free but worth hours of my listening time. I’ll listen to more from the series

Historia
Spanning 30 years of American history, from the twilight of Kennedy’s Camelot to the days leading up to Bill Clinton’s election, We Are All Good People Here perfectly resonates with today’s fraught American political zeitgeist and asks us: why do good intentions too often lead to tragic outcomes? Can we separate our political choices and our personal morals? And is it possible to truly bury our former selves and escape our own history?

Interesting story of friends over the generations
Revisado: 09-19-22
I was not bothered by the mispronunciation of some Atlanta landmarks like others (yes…have lived in atlanta for 30 years). This story covers racial, gender, religious, and economic inequalities so if you don’t like that…stay away from the book. I actually enjoyed that it challenged some of the ideas I had rooted somewhere in my consciousness from how and where I was raised and provided.

Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

Different than his normal stories but I was engaged until the last word
Revisado: 01-16-19
Although part of it is set around a trial in rural Mississippi, the soul of the story takes place as a love story, a war story, farming struggle , race struggle, and how secrets actually tear apart rather than protect. I personally like historical fiction and the center part of the novel set during WWII was fascinating, heartbreaking and gave me a new appreciation for soldiers. I loved the performance.
