Suspend any preconceived notions...

After my initial listen, I wasn't sure if I liked this book. But since Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi are one of my favorite author/narrator teams, I decided to give it a second go. If anything, my admiration of these two highly talented women has grown! Well done, both of you!
Please don't expect this book to be similar to the Half-Moon Hollow or Naked Werewolf series. It's not and only further demonstrates the wide spectrum of their mutually formidable skills. The humor is there, just much dryer than the mentioned two series. As the setting is mid-Industrial Revolution England, that's to be expected.
Try not to let any previous impressions mar your enjoyment of a very delightful book. (Yes, I sound like Mrs. Winters-blame my age and upbringing.)
I sincerely hope Ms. White is planning not only a second installment but an entire series. There are other wonderful characters in addition to Sarah/Cassandra who I hope will have their stories told, along with getting to watch all the characters grow and mature.
