Historia
Marine biologist and former government agent Doc Ford is sure he's beyond the point of being surprised by his longtime pal Tomlinson's madcap tales of his misspent youth. But he's stunned anew when avowed bachelor Tomlinson reveals that as a younger man strapped for cash, he'd unwittingly fathered multiple children via for-profit sperm bank donations. Thanks to genealogy websites, Tomlinson's now-grown offspring have tracked him down, seeking answers about their roots...but Doc quickly grows suspicious that one of them might be planning something far more nefarious.

Another great book!
Revisado: 02-18-20
Thank you Randy for the wonderful books in the Doc Ford series. I also appreciate George Guidall's narration to the point that three of my four favorite authors use George as their narrator. I look forward to character development as this book ended on a high point. Thank you again!

If you could sum up You are a Badass in three words, what would they be?
Totally Freaking Awesome
Who was your favorite character and why?
Ms, Sincero narrates this herself and she does a wonderful job. She is funny to listen to and she manages to keep you hanging on every word she says. I listened to this and as soon as it ended, I hit play and started listening again.
Any additional comments?
Within a week of listening to this book and putting into play the things Ms. Sincero tells you to do, things started happening and moving in a direction that will help me attain my goals. It's a little bit freaky to be honest, but here's one example out of many in just the 1st week. I decided I needed two more clients to be able to attain my goal. Literally minutes after telling this to my husband, I get an email from a business in another state who asked if I would be interested in taking them on as a client...
Listen with an open mind. If you let it, this book will change your life.

Historia
Ten agonizing months have gone by since Therese faced off against her parents' murderer at Mount Olympus, and she suspects Thanatos's absence is meant to send her a message: go on with your life. She tries to return Pete's affections, but when Than shows up to take her hamster's soul, she sees him and becomes infuriated when he says he's "been busy."

Great second book in the series
Revisado: 12-06-13
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed how the characters grew. Therese's character grew the most and she learned some very important lessons in this book. I loved how she took on the different challenges, faced them head on and came up with some inventive ways to succeed in her mission.
Which character – as performed by Debbie Andreen – was your favorite?
I enjoy Thanatos. Debbie captures the essence of him just the way I 'see' him in my mind.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
There were times where I couldn't turn it off until I knew Therese was safe. Ms. Pohler was able to have me on the edge of my seat several times throughout this book.
Any additional comments?
This was a great follow up to The Gatekeeper's Sons. Hades decides to give Therese and his son, Thanatos a chance to be together and gives Therese 5 challenges to complete. They seem almost insurmountable to start with but she comes up with some very clever ways to complete them. This book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so I immediately downloaded the 3rd book and started on it. I needed to find out what happened to Than and Therese.

Historia
Fifteen-year-old Therese watches her parents die. While in a coma, she meets the twin sons of Hades-Hypnos (the god of sleep) and Thanatos (the god of death). She thinks she's manipulating a dream, not kissing the god of death and totally rocking his world. Than makes a deal with Hades and goes as a mortal to the Upperworld to try and win Therese's heart, but not all the gods are happy. Some give her gifts. Others try to kill her. The deal requires Therese to avenge the death of her parents.

Unique Storyline!
Revisado: 11-21-13
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved Thanatos, but also enjoyed the antics of his brother Hypnos.
What does Debbie Andreen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I really enjoyed Debbie's voice. It just fits the story and the main character, Therese. She is very easy to listen to and I enjoy the way she does use inflection and builds a scene.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The very beginning had me reeling with all kinds of emotions. I wasn't expecting such a dramatic start to a book and it hooked me completely.
Any additional comments?
I haven't read/listened to a story quite like this before, it's quite unique. I enjoyed the author's whole take on Greek Mythology. She obviously knows her stuff and has created a fun adventure. I have already downloaded books 2 & 3. Can't wait to see what happens to Thanatos and Therese.

The narrator brought this book to life.
Which character – as performed by James Marsters – was your favorite?
Harry Dresden, a close second was the ghost in the skull.

Great Quality Production
Revisado: 02-28-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. I loved the quality of this audiobook. It has two narrators and musical interludes. It was definitely a performance worth listening to.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dare the Devil?
*spoiler alert* The beginning of the book threw me to start off with. The narration was so descriptive that I could imagine being back in time with saber tooth tigers and warrior maidens. Then when the tigers fake teeth fell out and it became apparent that the characters had trespassed onto a film set, I laughed.
What does Destiny Landon and Lee James bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I had never listened to a book with male and female narrators before. I enjoyed it. You certainly were never in any doubt as to who was talking in the story
