Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Amazing story that exceeded all expectations
Revisado: 03-02-17
I downloaded this book just to read something different and because I kind of liked Trevor Noah from his performance on the Daily Show. This book made me completely fall in love with Trevor Noah.
This book surprised me in several ways:
1. It is funny but not in a comic way but in that it's so honest and candid and told in a hopeful tone despite some terrible things that happen
2. It teaches you a few life lessons
3. It makes you relate and stop and think
I devoured this book. It's well written and so so honest. It really opened my eyes on South Africa and made me think plenty of my own childhood in Russia, of living in the US with existing racism and many other things. I expected this book to make me laugh, I expected to learn a few things, I never expected it to make me think and look inside myself so much
I HIGHLY recommend it. The fact that Noah himself narrates it too is such a huge bonus

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Gripping, holding to the end
Revisado: 03-29-15
Great performance, very true story of addiction and love and betrayal. I did guess close to the end what the ending would be but not until the author would want the reader to I think. The book is very absorbing
