judging that someone is gay ("faggot") because they drink tea is homophobic and the tone of the reader clearly implies that they judge that being gay is an insult and a bad thing

The reader does not do very good impersonations when reading dialogue, eg. at some point queen Malta says something and it is written that she says it with a royal tone but when the reader reads it it sounds feeble and shy. Also the Fool's accent is totally wrong. It has been said many times through the series that he chooses his accent depending if he's Amber or Lord Golden or any other character, and when he is the Fool, he has a Buck accent, so it should be the same as any other Buck character, not that foreign accent that the reader uses for the Fool. I am thoroughly disappointed by this reading.

Good book, weird narrator voice

The story is very good and well written. The voice of the narrator is quite surprising, though, and if I hadn't wanted to listen to that book so much, only his voice would have turned me away. But he does well the interpretation of the different people in the story.
