Historia
Rosie Belmont has been driving me wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend’s little sister and knowing you can’t have her. After living in the city, she comes blasting back into Rose Hill like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed desperate plea for a job is all it takes for me to hire her.

Alright/Cute
Revisado: 06-26-24
Loved the narration - the story was alright. I felt like the author dragged it out and forced some of the “hate to love you” bits, which seemed inauthentic to the character development. Also some of the word choice in the sentence structure was repetitive enough that I noticed it and it bothered me. I’ve read better small town romances but this was alright!

Slow Start but Brilliant Story
Revisado: 09-18-23
Get your tissues ready.
This book made me tear up more than any book I’ve ever read.
Def takes a bit to get into, but once you’re in, you’re in.

Historia
Mariana Andros is a brilliant but troubled group therapist who becomes fixated on The Maidens when one member, a friend of Mariana’s niece Zoe, is found murdered in Cambridge. Mariana, who was once herself a student at the university, quickly suspects that behind the idyllic beauty of the spires and turrets, and beneath the ancient traditions, lies something sinister. And she becomes convinced that, despite his alibi, Edward Fosca is guilty of the murder. But why would the professor target one of his students?

Couldn’t Stop Reading
Revisado: 03-09-22
I was literally so floored and hooked by the end that I had to finish listening while at the gym and was gaping in public. 5x better than The Silent Patient. Loved it.

Historia
When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she doesn't think it's love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Men and Their Trauma
Revisado: 01-16-22
(No spoilers) If you want to read a book a book about how men never handle their trauma and just hold onto it…and you’re okay with the idea of a woman saving a man, this book is for you. If that whole concept annoys you because you’re a feminist like myself, this isn’t it. If you do read it, don’t listen on audible because the narrator for the main guy character def takes away from the story. Not the voice of the person I pictured in all the vivid smutty scenes (which were basically half the book).

Predictable, Far-Fetched, Un-Empathetic
Revisado: 01-24-20
Probably the worst book I’ve read/listened to in a long time. Predictable and far-fetched. Drawn out. And if you can connect to any of these characters, you probably have a severe mental problem, because there’s nothing remotely interesting or relatable about the characters. Or the plot. Also the voice of the man in the book gives me the creeps
