The premise of the story seemed really fun but I felt like I waited the whole book for something to happen - and it felt like nothing ever actually happened because the story moves so slowly

Great narration

As someone who grew up working in the restaurant industry this book is special. It’s crazy to see that waiting is the same in Paris as it is in the states. The narrator adds some major bonus points for being able to give each person special accents when reading about them.

I skipped the preview button because this is by one of my favorite authors but I feel I set myself up for failure. The story overall just wasn’t a good one. Easiest way to describe is that it felt like a low budget sci fi channel kinda story.
