What did you like best about O, Pioneers!? What did you like least?
I was born in North Platte Nebraska - both of my parents were born and raised in Nebraska and I have fond memories of times spent on my grandparents farm in Nebraska. I thought it was time to read something written by a Nebraska author - what I liked best was the authors description of the Nebraska prairie - it is a very different kind of beauty and it brought back fond memories. I would say that the story line is not something new or unique but it was a nice story but again it was the descriptions of the land that were so breathtaking.

I listened to this book at the same time I was reading the book TUDOR ROSE - the story of Richard III and how the Tudor Dynasty began - and of course the murder/disappearance of his 2 nephews. I found it very interesting and the case The Daughter of Time presents is compelling and will definitely cause one to stop and think - Who Really did benefit from the murder of the two boys and why.

A funny book that will make you laugh - - as a single parent I recall so many of the same moments of trying to keep everything together and wondering how I would survive - yet alone how two kids would survive thrive and grow up to be responsible adults. It reminds us that humor really is the best medicine.
