Historia
Only a handful of fictional characters are recognized by first name alone. Dean Koontz’s Odd Thomas is one such literary hero, who has come alive in listeners’ imaginations as he explores the greatest mysteries of this world and the next with his inimitable wit, heart, and quiet gallantry. Now Koontz follows Odd as he is drawn onward, to a destiny he cannot imagine. Haunted by dreams of an all-encompassing red tide, Odd is pulled inexorably to the sea, to a small California coastal town where nothing is as it seems.

Disappointed
Revisado: 01-31-23
I can’t believe this was written by Dean Koontz. It was very amateurish. Nothing like the first 3 books in the series.

I was pretty disappointed with this collection.
Revisado: 03-15-22
I listened to the original trilogy from another audible book - ''The John Carter Trilogy of Edgar Rice Burroughs'. Great stories and excellent narration. I bought this audio book during a sale to get the next 4 stories. It was very boring and hard to listen to. There is a lot of Barsoom stories here, but I can't really recommend this particular audio book.

Historia
Eugene Debs Hartke describes an odyssey from college professor to prison inmate to prison warden back again to prisoner in another of Vonnegut's bitter satirical explorations of how and where (and why) the American dream begins to die. Employing his characteristic narrative device - a retrospective diary in which the protagonist retraces his life at its end, a desperate and disconnected series of events here in Hocus Pocus show Vonnegut with his mask off and his rhetorical devices unshielded.

Historia
Every so often a character so captures the hearts and imaginations of listeners that he seems to take on a life of his own long after the final chapter. For such a character, one book is not enough—listeners must know what happens next. Now Dean Koontz returns with the novel his fans have been demanding. With the emotional power and sheer storytelling artistry that are his trademarks, Koontz takes up once more the story of a unique young hero and an eccentric little town in a tale that is equal parts suspense and terror, adventure and mystery—and altogether irresistibly odd.

Disappointing Koontz book
Revisado: 12-21-21
I’m disappointed in book 2 of the Odd Thomas series. I have read most of the Dean Koontz books, including most of the Odd Thomas series. There was so much filler material stretched across multiple chapters it became boring.

Not too bad. Narration quite boring
Revisado: 04-03-21
The story was not too bad. However, the narrator put me to sleep within 20 minutes each time I tried to listen. That was great when I was having trouble getting to sleep. I found I kept having to rewind to hear what I missed, which was usually 3 or 4 chapters.
