Sorry for the Debbie Downer, but I can't believe all these 5 star reviews. I like the energy in the writing but the reading is bad. There are so many mispronounced authors that I laugh out loud; I don't mean to be condescending because I would have at least this tough of a time as a reader, just pointing out that it is entertaining. I'm not sure, but about halfway through Chapter 2, the reader gets frustrated with himself and just says "Geez" in the middle of the reading. LOL. I did appreciate the summary of nihilism (Nietzsche) and rationalism (Descartes) but there isn't anything here that you wouldn't get anywhere else. These are mostly summaries. I'm going to skip the last chapter on communism and find a more in depth overview, even if it is less entertaining.

What a thrill of a ride! Africa comes alive, as do those wonderful gorillas and I kept listening to the story even when I got to the end of my commute. The author weaves in the use of the animals, especially the highly trained dogs, in this terrific tale of biological terrorism. I enjoyed this from start to finish.
