With his trademark mirth and boundless charisma, actor Nick Offerman brought the loveable shenanigans of Twain's adolescent hero to life in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Now, in yet another virtuosic performance, the actor proves that despite being separated by a span of over a century, his connection to the author and his work is undeniable and that theirs is a timeless collaboration that should not be missed.

Utterly outstanding
Revisado: 06-17-21
The great American novel, narrated to complete perfection! I never would have expected the venerable Nick Offerman to be such a gifted book narrator, and he has applied his ample skill to perhaps the finest novel I've ever enjoyed.

NGT should have narrated it

Neil is a phenomenal orrator and speaker. I was pretty disappointed this wasn't narrated by the man himself. Otherwise this was excellent, including the narration.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Good narration. Full text unabridged
Revisado: 05-25-21
Despite other reviews I believe this is the full text. There isn't additionally commentary or explanation as there are in many other editions, so it's quite brief.

Historia
John Kretschmer is sailing’s practical philosopher - as much a doer as a thinker. And that is the overarching theme of this chronicle of a sailing life. Often amusing, sometimes poignant, occasionally terrifying but always inspiring, his deeply personal account is a welcome reminder of the good life waiting at sea. With hundreds of thousands of nautical miles under his keel, John’s adventures have taken him several times around the world.

Amazing storytelling by the author
Revisado: 10-18-20
Great book. Terrible narrator almost ruined it with goofy pronunciations of common items, like he was trying to sound fancy. Should have had Nick O'kelly narrate it: he's an experienced sailor and great narrator.
