Fascinating
Revisado: 12-23-20
This production has been one of the best one I've listened to yet! The story, the performance and the sound effects and music enthralled me from the start. Wish it was a longer story as there is so much to explore in this new world. I could totally envision the story and it came to life for me. I related to Bee a lot and I would love to get more episodes to this series soon!!! The ending left me thinking about the possibilities of endless life beyond our universe and with several meanings... a lot to ponder about. I think anyone will enjoy!

An Intriguing Tale of Time Travel
Revisado: 07-31-19
I have received this book in exchange for a fair and biased review.
I was enthralled by the premise and the story that followed would not disappoint. This story weaved a tale of time into something worth reading.. with an alternate history a somewhat secret society held up by the families of the founding fathers. Themes of Immorality, Mortality, Morality, family secrets, betrayal, love, honor, commitment to a cause worthy and unworthy, and lastly living your life to the fullest with the TIME you have been given.
I really liked the idea of the Clock Keepers and their role of keeping life and death in tune through the management of Clocks that represent people's life lines.
The Narration was good and Vivien kept the story at a good pace and kept it engaging. The Production quality was great and production flawless, however the only thing that bothered me was how the word Coupe was being pronounced :)

Beautiful Story and Brillant Listen
Revisado: 07-24-19
I was given a promotional copy of this audio book for a fair and honest review.
Amanda Roberts story of following a young Chinese girl throughout her life, was a beautiful compelling story of strength, courage, and perseverance during a very volatile time in Manchu China.
The history and background of Peking China and the Forbidden City, paved the way for a rich illuminating story that brought me so much joy to listen to. Who knew that an Embroidery Girl could rise up in the Inner Court of the Empress and could make a lasting impression. The story is filled with sacrifice, love for family, Chinese culture and traditions during the turn of the 20th century. There is history, intrigue and a good look at the inner workings of the Forbidden City and the inner sanctum of the Emperor, Empress, the many concubines and eunuchs that make up the great array of Characters you learn to love or hate in this story.
The narration was great and Leanne Yau's accent and delivery made the story even more interesting. There were a few problems in the production and editing itself with quite a few duplicate sentences and some background noises that were distracting to the overall production.
I will be looking out for more books by Amanda Roberts as well as other Narrations by Leanne Yau.

Revisado: 01-27-15
KT Tomb spins a fun adventure. Heather Ross brought fun to this story with her engaging narration and spin on the characters. I am looking forward to the next one in the series. Chyna Stone is a new Indiana Jones like female protagonist and her team of experts with Found History were fun to get to know as well. There is everything in this story...History, intrigue, thrills, adventure and even a little romance. Great job KT Tomb and Heather Ross.

With Project Nemesis, Jeremy Robinson introduced the world of popular fiction to Kaiju, a word that has become popularized by the movie Pacific Rim, and is associated with classic movie monsters such as Godzilla and Gamera. In the year since the release of Project Nemesis, the audiobook has become the best-selling original Kaiju novel of all time, and it is being featured in the video game Colossal Kaiju Combat: Fall of Nemesis. In Project Maigo, Robinson amps up the scale, the characters and the city-stomping action, treating listeners to a truly monstrous experience typically reserved for the big screen.

Robinson's Kaiju's even better than Godzilla!!
Revisado: 05-19-14
Jeremy Robinson once again brings you an exciting Kaiju adventure that literally will blow Godzilla out of the water. In this second installment featuring Nemesis , we see Hudson and his team trying to stop not just one, but several Kaiju wreck havoc to big cities across the world including Sydney and Washington DC. I love that each Kaiju is different and has its own crazed mind and personality. Will Jon Hudson and his team be able to save the world from Kaiju destruction? Will Maigo ever be at peace? You'll have to read it to find out.
Jeffrey Kafer, once again, does an awesome job bringing Jon Hudson and his team to life. He is very engaging and knows how to tell a story. BOOM!!

Nemesis is one killer Kaiju
Revisado: 03-30-14
Project Nemesis was an unbelievable ride. Godzilla who? I prefer my Kaiju Nemesis style. I am looking forward to Finding out what Maigo has been up to in the next installment. Hudson, Collins and Woodstock make a great team and kick some kaiju butt. A very heartful monster story with some cool twists and lots of chaos, mayhem and destruction. Just the ride I was looking for.
Jeffrey Kafer once again does an awesome job bringing Robinson's characters alive in this lively, fast paced adrenaline filled story.

KING is back and with family in tow
Revisado: 02-28-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Callsign King - Book 3 - Blackout to be better than the print version?
Jeffrey Kafer has made me a fan of audio books and I find his reads very entertaining. So much so, that for once, I would opt to listen to the story than to read it. I have read all of the Jeremy Robinson's Chess Team Books and have just now dived into the Novellas, which are perfect length for listening and Kafer does it the best.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis bring back some of my favorite pawns from the past, including Sarah Fogg and Fionna, Kings adopted daughter. Of course having Alexander back it the picture will always equal thrilling drama and end of the world antics, including black holes. Alexander's mysterious ways have always charmed me. This time King saves the day but with help from his close loved ones.
Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Jeffrey Kafer is captivating as always. This was my third book in a row narrated by him and I am downloading the next one right now!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Absolutely I would have sat through this in one sitting...if I only had the time :(
Any additional comments?
These Chess Team Novellas are a great way to catch up with your favorite Chess Team characters. I love the additional character development and have learned more about one of my favorite protagonists of all time, Jack Sigler , Call Sign KING.

Where does Callsign: King: Book 2, Underworld rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Jeffrey Kafer will take you an a ride. I like listening to Jeffrey's narrations so much, that I have gone back to listen to his reads from books that I have already read.
What did you like best about this story?
Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis take you to the Superstitious Mountains in Arizona for non typical mayhem. KING teams up with his friend George Pearce for another page turner. Mysterious fog, human like killer creatures and an alternate energy source that may bring about the destruction of our atmosphere.
Have you listened to any of Jeffrey Kafer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have become a huge fan of Jeffrey's work and the books he has voiced for my favorite authors including Jeremy Robinson and Sean Ellis. This one was as riveting as the last one and I will be listening to more.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had the time, I certainly would listen to the whole thing in one sitting.
Any additional comments?

Great continuation of Chess Team and KING
Revisado: 02-09-14
Would you listen to Callsign: King, Book I again? Why?
Jeffrey Kafer's performance was captivating and he really brought KING to life with his portrayal of the strong and sensitive Jack Sigler. I would listen again and definitely recommend to others.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Callsign: King, Book I?
Can I tell you that my most memorable moments were when Jeffrey Kafer took on the gritty, tough, soldier KING. The scene in the hospital with the many flying grenades, devices, and expletives, was classic Robinson/Ellis drama, but with the nuances Kafer does well, it certainly became pretty memorable.
Which scene was your favorite?
One of favorite scenes, was when King finally caught up with his girlfriend Sarah Fogg, After searching for her in Africa, after a frantic text from Sarah brought him there, he finally finds her coming out of a mysterious cave. I could feel that embrace down to my soul. I guess I am a hopeless romantic.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I could have listened to this in one sitting easily, if I only had the time. But truth be told, immediately after finishing listening to Book 1, I downloaded the next Callsign King Book 2- The Underworld to get more of Robinson, Ellis and Kafer, bringing one of my favorite characters to life.
Any additional comments?
Jeremy Robinson, along with Sean Ellis, take you on anothor thrilling adventure, where King, once again saves humanity from the bad guys. In this novella we find Jack and his girlfriend Sarah Fogg get entangled in the usual trouble. This time in Ethiopia where a strange virus and archeological find May be linked. From T Great Rift Valley, the good and bad guys are fighting over an Elephant Graveyard, but is ivory all they are looking for?
