Historia
A manifesto of business practices for those who sell ideas and advice, The Win Without Pitching Manifesto lays out 12 steps - in the form of proclamations - that owners of creative businesses can take to distance themselves from their competition, regain the high ground in their client relationships and learn to win business without first parting with their thinking or writing lengthy proposals. The 12 proclamations were written to inspire owners of independent creative businesses to rethink how their services are bought and sold.

I've listened to it three times already, phenomena
Revisado: 07-14-21
being a manifesto, the book has very little fluff. it's not dry, it actually has multiple stories and tangible examples. it's brief, it's not long-winded, and it's full of real examples.
the phrase, drinking out of a fire hose, is very applicable in this book.

missed opportunity for audiobook performance
Revisado: 05-30-21
perhaps I've been spoiled by some amazing audiobook performances which really take advantage of the audio delivery unique characteristics for instance different voices and pacing and oftentimes turning and otherwise tutorial in a book into an audio experience for the listener.
there's a lot of buildup in the book, and a much smaller percentage actually telling you the breathing method.
is it just breathing slowly through your mouth? through your nose? in through your mouth out through your nose? how does cold showers tie into that and what does it feel like walking into a cold shower and how do you know if you are doing it right?
I had imagined that the audio book reader would have maybe used timing in their reading to make it more realistic.
for instance instead of just saying breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose slowly 30 times and then turn on cold water...
why didn't the audiobook performer lead a 5-minute breathing exercise with some basic calming waterfall or music in the background so the audiobook listener could follow along for 30 times. maybe you would hear the sound of water getting turned on after the 30th time....
just because it's not in the written book doesn't mean the audiobook can't use a little extra special sauce...
the written book probably has diagrams or some sort of illustrations, which the audiobook clearly lacks. so the best audiobooks I've listened to have typically had some sort of sound effects or different voices or follow along exercises that they're written book Lacks.
that's why I'm reading this book a 3 out of 5 stars overall, the actual practical steps of implementing it and doing the method is just quickly brushed through.

Historia
In this intriguing business novel, which illustrates state-of-the-art economic theory, Alex Rogo is a UniCo plant manager whose factory and marriage are failing. To revitalize the plant, he follows piecemeal advice from an elusive former college professor who teaches, for example, that reduction in the efficiency of some plant operations may make the entire operation more productive. Alex's attempts to find the path to profitability and to engage his employees in the struggle involve the listener; and thankfully the authors' economic models.

business lesson told with a real story
Revisado: 08-15-20
this was the first business book I've ever heard narrated with multiple characters in different voices, while really telling a story to make the lessons more memorable. There's no mystery, that storytelling is the most effective way for long-term memories to be retained oh, this book does an excellent job of using both the external and internal life struggles of a character to teach rather complicated business challenges. I can see why it has sold millions of copies across multiple decades. it's added to my short list of recommendations

paint a holistic picture for financial Independenc
Revisado: 02-18-20
over the years I've listened to mini financial planning and investing as well as podcast. the thing that sets this book apart, is how ballistic a picture it gives 4 Financial Independence and retiring early. most Financial books are aimed at the goal of retiring after 60 years, this book instead sets the goal of retiring within 10 years. I find this methodology significantly more impactful for those who are not getting started at an early age, or feel behind the 8-ball

Revisado: 02-08-20
I don't normally review books here on Audible, but I had to review this one because it really stood out. I love that it was packed full of. Actual tips and information that somebody who isn't a professional speaker would consider Insider information.
As a professional looking to get into speaking, I found this book to be one of my favorite business books of 2020 so far.
I wish more books cut the fluff and delivered valuable content like this one did.
