Historia
A number-one New York Times best seller and arguably the best business narrative ever written, Barbarians at the Gate is the classic account of the fall of RJR Nabisco. An enduring masterpiece of investigative journalism by Bryan Burrough and John Helyar, it includes a new afterword by the authors that brings this remarkable story of greed and double-dealings up to date 20 years after the famed deal.

Great Book
Revisado: 02-21-25
It was very detailed with a lot of great information. There were so many people involved that it was sometimes a little hard to follow and I had to go back and re-listen. Overall, a really really great book particularly if you are interested in business deals. I was really shocked about how some CEOs and managers are in it all for themselves leaving crumbs for the stockholders.

Historia
If anyone could be considered a Russian counterpart to the infamous British double-agent Kim Philby, it was Oleg Gordievsky. The son of two KGB agents and the product of the best Soviet institutions, the savvy, sophisticated Gordievsky grew to see his nation's communism as both criminal and philistine. He took his first posting for Russian intelligence in 1968 and eventually became the Soviet Union's top man in London, but from 1973 on he was secretly working for MI6.

Great sleep aid
Revisado: 04-04-23
I have been listening to these episodes for several months and they work great. Tasia has a great soft, soothing voice. These readings work for me as I consistently wake up in the middle of the night. I will turn this on and use the sleep timer set for the end of the chapter. I very seldomly make it to the end before going fast asleep.

Historia
Two men, each handsome and unusually adept at his chosen work, embodied an element of the great dynamic that characterized America’s rush toward the twentieth century. The architect was Daniel Hudson Burnham, the fair’s brilliant director of works and the builder of many of the country’s most important structures, including the Flatiron Building in New York and Union Station in Washington, D.C. The murderer was Henry H. Holmes, a young doctor who, in a malign parody of the White City, built his “World’s Fair Hotel” just west of the fairgrounds.

Great informative book about Vhicago
Revisado: 06-05-22
This is a fantastic book. Lots of historic info about Chicago, The Worlds Fair (Columbian Exposition) of 1893 along with the designers and how it got done. This along with the story of a sick murderer of the same time makes for a riveting read.

Very thorough

It is very interesting and very technical. Not only does it explain Bitcoin and block chains but, the history of currency and money, including how the banking system works.
