Phenomenal

Book was well done and to have Olds read it himself added a great touch. Great insight to the pilot life of older wars with a touch of humor, suspense, and tragedy. Well written and well told. Phenomenal book.

My Sister's Keeper Audiolibro Por Jodi Picoult arte de portada

One word...AMAZING

The way this book was written keeps the mind in constant motion. Stories from all angles and all characters keep the book entertaining and keep the listener wanting more. There is nothing better from a book than when a listener feels that they are a part of the story--they become the character or feel they are conversating with the character. This book creates that sense of involvement. I wanted to keep listening and finish in a day. It was difficult to walk away.

Dexter by Design Audiolibro Por Jeff Lindsay arte de portada

Another great Dexter book

Jeff Lindsay does it again. The dark Dexter humor, a serial killer case to solve, and an unusual twist in a style that only Jeff Lindsay could pull off. Not thrilled by the reader. He didn't fit the part, but that can be overlooked with such a good story.

Great beginning but then.....

The highlight was having the actual author read the story and give insight into why it was written. The story line was great and the book was off to a great start. Unfortunately, I felt the end was rushed, almost like something was missing and the author was just trying to make it through.

Scientific in a sporty way

Total

The author compares studies in the human psyche to why people love the Chicago Cubs. A quirky, scientific, humorous way to describe why people enjoy a losing team. Though some parts of the scientifc theory can be a bit long and drawn out, overall, it's a unique way to get into the brain behind hardcore fans and how a losing team continues to thrive through the same fans.
