Unique characters and setting. Feel good story with a happy ending.

Great story with interesting relatable characters. The narrator is a good narrator except that she raises and lowers the volume of her voice to the extreme, one moment speaking very loudly and the next whispering. This makes listening to the book terrible because you are constantly having to change the volume because it is too loud or you have to rewind and turn up the volume because she was whispering. She whispers and shouts when the characters might be whispering or shouting but it just doesn’t work for an audiobook. I have had narrators like this before and I avoid them. If she would stop doing this, I think she would be a really great narrator.
