Rob Inglis does the best job of narrating JRR Tolkien’s saga. I listened to Mr. Inglis narrate the Lord of the Rings first and was pleasantly surprise that he did this book also. Mr. Inglis makes these books come alive and it is extremely better than watching the movies. Best purchase ever!!!

The best of the 3 of the Lord of the Rings!

As to the older reviewers this audiobook is in perfect order. I loved hearing Mr Rob Ingrid read this book and the other two previous books with the different voices. It was so much better to listen to him read this book and the others than to watch the movie or to read it myself. I loved it so much that when I have more time, I homeschool my grandchildren, I will listen to the three books again and again. Must get this audio for it is the best!

Sir Christopher again gave quite a good telling of this book which followed word by word of the text of this book. Worth having both to read and watch especially when like me, your eye sight is not great and audio on its own makes me lose my concentration on what is read. Very enjoyable and now onto the next read and audio of the trilogy. Worth the purchase!!

French history with the subject of a beautiful soul

Very long and hard book to read. The story of a man who thought only of others even after being wrongfully convicted for stealing a loaf of bread due to his family that was starving. Darkness overshadowed his soul until the kindness of a bishop turned his life around and brought him out of the dungeon of despair. He then went on a journey to help the poor and found love in an orphan girl that he raised as his own daughter. Life for him was always one step away from the law that wanted to throw him back into the galleys. Great book on forgiveness, love and redemption. This translation was to me, the best one and also follow the audible that I used when I didn’t have to to read I could listen to it instead.
