Historia
As passionate as it is profound, Atlas Shrugged is one of the most influential novels of our time. In it, Rand dramatizes the main tenets of objectivism, her philosophy of rational selfishness. She explores the ramifications of her radical thinking in a world that penalizes human intelligence and integrity.

Thought provoking
Revisado: 08-07-20
Some of the efforts of government in Atlas Shugged to limit competition and take more from the most productive seemed like what the Left is attempting here and now. If I didn't believe in God and absolutes I would find the philosophy that the book espouses a great no excuses approach to life.
The plot as a mystery to be discovered kept my interest. Some of the philosophical conversations and speeches seemed a little too didactic.

Historia
Stillness as a virtue is a foreign concept in our society, but there is wisdom in God's own rhythm of work and rest. Jesus practiced sabbath among those who had turned it into a dismal thing, a day for murmuring and finger-wagging, and he reminded them of the day's true purpose: liberation - to heal, to feed, to rescue, to celebrate, to lavish and relish life abundant. With this audiobook, Buchanan reminds us of this and gives practical advice for restoring the sabbath in our lives.

Realism and hope
Revisado: 06-08-19
Jordan Peterson looks the problems of life square in the face and then proceeds to give hope. He does this by telling stories that are very interesting and. that make the rules more understandable. He doesn't assume a religious position yet is respectful of religion. A good. listen for all. It may be especially useful to the young person who feels intimidated by or disinchanted by what life has to offer.
