Beautiful story

It is hauntingly beautiful 💙 It has such a layered feeling, every character has its one story arc and a back story. It started a bit slow but I could barely put it down later.

Nice concept, awkward writing

I really like the concept of bisexual college girls, but the story starts with a really bad plot hole. I guess the writer wants us to believe that this is love and passion, but this isn’t it. It’s just limerence. It’s just so bad, I am sorry, but the story is really not believable. :(

Too many character arcs

I don’t mind a few POV shifts during a book, but I have the feeling that it’s just becoming too big. I really don’t care about a few characters in the book. Also if the writer manages to spike the interest in a character (which is a good thing!!) why would you change it to a new one for several hours? One does loose interest if there is no goal to the story, or it’s just too fractured. I really enjoyed the first book but I don’t think I will continue after this one. Shame.

50 shades of angels

You know that a relationship is unhealthy, if you replace the hot guy with an ugly one. Then it becomes a creep-story with a stalker. I am disturbed that so many ppl find this a good story.

Amazing!

The plot and storytelling style is very original, and coming from a difficult background myself, it feels realistic. No good or bad ppl, just everyone handling their life as the most important. No sugarcoated characters.
It became my favorite novel series, however note it’s a difficult listen sometimes.

Heartfelt story

I loved the characters, they felt real with their good and bad sides. The story was compelling, had a lot of unexpected turns, some point almost tipping into black comedy.

Pretty good

Love the wizard private detective idea, but I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. Why would you call ppl who want to arrest you without reason your friends, or a woman who wants to have sex for information for a magazine, a date? If I would sacrifice my life constantly for others, I would expect some loyalty from true friends. Also I would expect to have a lot of good friends.

Movie without the visuals

Reminded me of mom, listening to radio shows back in the 80s, while I had to be quiet for an hour so she didn’t miss anything.
It’s not a book by any means, also the plot is simple, with a few twists. Some sound effects made it difficult to understand to hear exactly what had been said, also it would have been better without the awful lot of sucking/churning/crunching sounds. The narrators are amazing though.
Story is okay, nothing groundbreaking, easy listen while doing chores or running errands.

Wow, unexpected

This was the only summer romance book I loved, because it isn’t fluffy. it deals with real and flawed ppl (MC), it was surprising & exciting.
Also don’t let the cover and the title fool you, this isn’t an easy beach-read 🙃

Dull, struggled to finish

This was the last nail in the coffin in my quest for finding a lovely for romance novel. Why does it have to be so predictable from the beginning? At this point I wonder if it is AI written and self-published, or generally lacking in creativity.
Here is what I missed:
- relatable friends/family who add to the story, not only there as an annoying filler.
- character development and flaws (all MC)
- realistic work environment (this was non existent)
- 2MC experiencing struggles/moments together and not only TALKING about feelings all the time
- putting them into different scenarios together to see how they actually cope together (the scenario not only in the bed)
And this was too much:
- everyone is just talking about everything…
- described repeatedly ones good looks, eye color, body etc.
- sex scenes besides being too much, somehow managed to be really lacking in variety and love.
