Historia
Amid the internet boom of the mid-2000s, a band of entrepreneurs stood at the intersection of medicine, technology, and business. They saw a solution to the crucial problems of emergency care, which was too often handicapped by underfunding, overscheduled specialists, archaic practices, and onerous equipment.

Inspiring, insightful, and entertaining
Revisado: 01-02-23
I liked how the story unfolded into business and life lessons through an ensemble of actors rather than one single narrator. I’d recommend this to existing and aspiring entrepreneurs who will see themselves in Colin’s journey of bringing new ideas into the world. The episodic formula was easy to digest and entertaining.

Learn valuable lessons while Hollywood actors voice the parts in this entertaining and true story of Barefoot Wine. A Sherwood Players Production featuring a full ensemble cast including Hollywood Legends Ed Asner and Gigi Perreau, an original cinematic score, sound effects, and behind the scenes interviews with the real Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey (creators of Barefoot Wine) with author Rick Kushman. It is amazing that such an iconic brand as Barefoot Wines began as a startup in the laundry room of a rented farmhouse.

Business to my ears
Revisado: 10-27-19
I was able to receive an early copy of this audiobook, and it is so exciting to see it on Audible now! I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and some of the narration puts me to sleep. What is unique about this audio production is that the scenes are acted out, and I feel like I am listening to live theater. The stories are compelling and the business lessons and takeaways are simple and powerful. This is the type of book that I will listen to multiple times. If you want a chance up from the deep base, monotone narration that audiobooks default to, check this out!

Historia
Everyone knows that timing is everything. But we don't know much about timing itself. Our lives are a never-ending stream of "when" decisions: when to start a business, schedule a class, get serious about a person. Yet we make those decisions based on intuition and guesswork. Timing, it's often assumed, is an art. In When: The Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing, Pink shows that timing is really a science.

I'm a big fan of Daniel's work and love his rich analogies. He has a way with words to make them come to life in your head. After reading this, I'm looking at "when" in a whole new way.

Historia
Our most commonly held formula for success is broken. Conventional wisdom holds that once we succeed, we’ll be happy; that once we get that great job, win that next promotion, lose those five pounds, happiness will follow. But the science reveals this formula to be backward: Happiness fuels success, not the other way around.

Historia
If you're like most people, you think that your choices and behaviors are driven by your individual personal tastes and opinions. You wear a certain jacket because you like the way it looks. You picked a particular career because you found it interesting. The notion that our choices are driven by our own personal thoughts and opinions is patently obvious. Right? Wrong. Without our realizing it, other people's behavior has a huge influence on everything we do at every moment of our lives, from the mundane to the momentous occasion.

it's even better on the second listen
Revisado: 12-16-16
I just finished listening to this book for the second time, and it seems better than the first. After initially reading this book I was a lot more aware of what everybody was saying. Being a professional public speaker, and communication geek, I get really into body language and how it communicates what people are trying to say. This is an excellent resource for a beginner, intermediate, or Advanced speaker to learn more insights to Their audience whether that be one person or a crowd of thousands. and I am transcribing this because I typically listen to audiobooks in the car, so my apologies if there's any typos or incorrect words.
