I have recommended both of my adult children read this book. Both of them live in Austin and they can’t wait until they get their first big gig! Inspirational.

Mekisha's story, through her experience, gives hope and strength to those still stuck in dangerous relationships. "But why did you stay?" is helping grow a deeper conversation about domestic violence. Well written. Great book.
