Best one in years

I have listened to the entire series and while I love the earlier books, the more recent ones have been lacking in continuity. That said, I enjoyed this one quite a lot. I miss the guys and wish all the sisters were involved but the story and characters were interesting.

Poor performance

Good and bad

I should have read it instead. I like the series and this story was good. The performance was so painful to listen to however. Between the mispronunciation of some words and stumbling over the text, it sounded like the narrator had never seen the book before she recorded it.

Not bad but frustrating

The storyline was okay but the last several books have not felt like the Sisterhood. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t read the earlier books The backgrounds were so totally different from the original that I almost didn’t finish it. There should be someone in charge of maintaining continuity in such a large series. Changing the backstory (and getting names wrong ) is a disservice to the characters and the fans.

Ok, but confusing

The plot would have been more interesting if it had been someone getting revenge on the Sisterhood. I love the series, but the last few books have been lacking. Even if they were not involved, the guys and Cyrus should have at least been mentioned. Cooper’s presence made no sense. The lack of continuity is what bothered me the most. Fergus was not British and was an excellent cook in previous books. There’s no way Harry wouldn’t have been with Jack at such a horrible time. The sisters were almost an afterthought, but I liked Libby a lot. Maybe it’s time to finally get Hank Jelico and wrap things up.

I’m a big fan of Brenda Jackson and have read and listened to many of her books. This one was not my favorite, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read it. The narration was painful to listen to. She sounded like a “valley girl” and her male voices sounded like country bumpkins. Nothing like the usual Westmoreland sexiness.
