Really enjoyed this trilogy. The only gripe I had was the author's overuse of "proverbial" and "instantaneously". Petty gripe, I know, but if you took a shot everytime either of these words were used you would be that proverbial drunk guy that closes the bar each night and passes out instantaneously upon exiting said bar. see what I did there?! yuck yuck!

Good stories but awful narrations.

why is it that producers try to fix what isn't broken? The narrator (Whelan) from Black Witch and Iron Flower did a superb job of bringing both the world and protagonist to life. So, why did they change to these terrible narrators for this novella?

The narrator they used for wand fasted was so bad that I had to lower the speed to .90. she whines, she cries, she turns statements into questions ("I'm Ron Burgandy?") in such a way that is jarring and abrasive.

At first it was a relief when I finished Wand Fasted and the narrator changed but it soon became apparent that this was a marginally better performance at best. once again, the weird statement into question, bad pacing, and whining.

The stories were good enough to bear the poor performance. Hang in there. It is worth it.

Love how this flies in the face of pretentious idiot sjw people nowdays. The diversity and the fight to conquer differences between the characters is absolutely breathtaking. Great listen. you won't regret it.

Amazing performance and sound. Great story- but the abridging is so extensive i actually thought i had missed a chapter here and there at times. STOP abridging the crap outta books please!!!!

Amazing tempo that banishes any hint of a lull or low point in the turmoil that is caused by the building conflict between Corellia and the Galactic alliance. The rift that is caused by Han's home planet loyalty and his son Jacen Solo's loyalty to the Galactic Alliance Security force is a rollercoaster ride! Add in the fact that Jacen is falling to the darkside, (even dressing like vader and force choking underlings) and you have suspense and tangible conflict that will have you begging for more. This is my favorite book in the series so far. The only downside is the abridging .

Great performance by Marc Thompson.
A lot is going on in this story but it is just short of being too much. I finished this in two days, and the end came too soon. I am thankful that this is a series! I prefer this story over the new 7 and 8 movies by a long shot. Luke acts like he should. Han isn't dead and Leia is a Jedi. The enemies are a long lost Sith tribe, with thier own culture and no stupid rule of 2. You wont regret buying this. I highly recommend!

Don't expect to gain any insight on Luke's story. All of these stories are "i think Luke did this...", tall tales, fishermen stories. Caught a minnow, but story got hyped until it was a whale. Narrator did good exept any male voices. You know how mocking someone for saying something stupid sounds? All male voices are like that.

The story is so vague that it was a waste of time. I hate to be so harsh and negative, but 22bucks for this drivel? i had to make myself finish it.
