I enjoyed this book, simply because Dean is a great storyteller and has a lifetime of knowledge to share. As a runner myself, I find him inspiring, but the reader need not be a runner to find wisdom in his words. My only negative feedback is the narration. It didn't feel authentic to me. I don't think an author need narrate their own work, but it has to be a good fit. This didn't work for me, although it wasn't a deal breaker.

What is...A Life Well-Lived

This book was lighthearted, funny, touching, and heartbreaking. I don't think I understood the value Alex Trebek added to American life before "reading" this book. He's not just a celebrity; he's a cultural icon and the type of person Americans so desperately need to bring wholeness and unity to a divided nation. His compassion for humanity shines through, even in the comical chapters. He was such a fully integrated human, with a deep understanding of life and death. This book communicates that wonderfully.

A Thoughtful, Thorough History

Should Be A Required Course

This course provides an excellent overview of the history of the Supreme Court and gives an interesting look into how certain justices came to be appointed to the bench.

A must read for understanding this vital branch of US government.

This book is essential for today's educators and students. Some parts may be a little repetitive, but in a way this is a necessary technique to drive home the points. Will make one rethink the methods of learning employed in higher education settings.

Funny and insightful, with engaging celebrity comedians conversing with Bob. I've been a fan of Bob's for as long as I can recall, but never before had heard the story of hope he got his start. So cool.

Makes You Question Everything

I consider myself logical and rational, having studied formal logic and law during the course of my schooling; however, this book made me question what I believe to be true and why. The skills taught in this book are practical and may be put to use in a variety of settings. I especially enjoyed that the author examined common falsely held beliefs in a way that wasn't condescending put still pushed back hard against them, as in the case of the pseudo sciences. Highly recommend.
