Felt like a guide for Stepford Wives
Revisado: 04-06-21
This book has some good tips (such as: Start with yourself. Use stick it notes until you get the hang of new habits. Stop resenting your family. Take care of yourself and more.) but overall the book began to feel like a creepy Stepford Wives guide to me. Maybe this book would have been better narrated by the author herself (who I have heard before). The narrator did a professional job but the upbeat demeanor coupled with using phrases that didn't seem authentic to her began sound like she had been programmed.
PS Where are the husbands in all of this?
Dana K White has a similar point of view but it comes out more authentic.

Historia
Leave a Cheater, Gain a Life is a no-nonsense self-help guide for anyone who has ever been cheated on. Here's advice not based on saving your relationship after infidelity - but saving your sanity. When it comes to cheating, a lot of the attention is focused on cheaters - their unmet needs or their challenges with monogamy. But Tracy Schorn (aka Chump Lady) lampoons such blameshifting and puts the focus squarely on the cheated-upon (chumps) and their needs.

If you have had multiple D-Days BUY this book now
Revisado: 06-07-19
I don't think that all cheaters are pathological narcissists as presented in this book. I do believe that good people make poor choices. For example, a husband with kids in a sexless marriage. He could honestly believe that getting his needs met with out breaking up the family is being a good person. Sometimes men don't even think their wives like them anymore-they just like the paycheck and the lifestyle.
However multiple D days are for chumps. If your partner cheats, gets caught, sees the pain s/he has caused you then does it again? You are then married to a narcissist. It will not get better you will just be more hurt. You need to go. buy this book NOW. You need to stop being a chump and move on right away.
I don't agree with telling the kids. Research shows that this is damaging to the kids. Kids need both parents in their lives. Other than that the rest of the advice is spot on and effective.
She has a great blog/wesbite/forum as well. Join those and get the support you need because this hurts!!

How to Decide btwn your spouse and affair partner
Revisado: 06-07-19
I am a Marriage Family Therapist who specializes in helping marriages recover after affairs. I *highly* recommend this book to individuals who are struggling with the decision on whether or not to leave their spouse for their affair partner.
If you are deciding whether to leave your spouse for your affair partner this book is a MUST READ. Download it RIGHT NOW and prioritize reading it. The book sets out specific criteria for this important decision. If you follow the steps I believe that you will have resolution whether or not you should stay or go.
The title is a bit misleading. If you are the Betrayed Spouse this book will probably upset you because it explains how difficult it is for your spouse to chose you. If you are searching why your spouse cheated on you----find another book.
My one criticism is that it doesn't go into the long term damage that leaving your spouse for the person you cheated on will effect your children. It is not smooth sailing. Just because you are finally happy doesn't mean that your kids will be. It will be viewed that new partner "broke up the family" no matter how broken the marriage was before.
