Historia
When I see her groped and humiliated at the auction house, I have no choice but to buy her. Even if a virgin human female costs as much as all the minerals on Fenda. I don’t care if it’s against the rules, if the healers say our DNA isn’t compatible. I’m the Crown Prince. I make the rules. I take what I want. And I want her. She’s my proper mate. I can feel it. But first, I must claim her. I’ll try to be gentle with my delicate little creature, but I don’t know if I can.

Meh
Revisado: 03-20-25
Fairly interesting concept although nothing new- human females get taken to auction house and sold off to aliens for breeding. Alien prince buys female lead and they become bond to each other.
So the only parts that I didn’t enjoy was some of the sexual situations- not sex in general but some of the descriptions were just cringy.
In general it wasn’t bad but there are better alien romance out there.

My harsh, brutal features have deterred all females, no matter the species. Then I find her, my Kismet, the only one made just for me. But the fates are cruel, especially to a male like me. I am being forced to destroy the fragile bond that has formed between us, as I have to make the hardest decision of my life. One that will make me lose her either way. Upon her final breath, I vow not even Death will keep what's mine.

Started strong but ended meh
Revisado: 03-08-25
It truly started off well. Abducted teenager fighting for her life, taking chances to escape a slaver alien ship. Basically being sold off to a zoo or test subject site.
There were some seriously interesting aspects to start off with.
However towards the end some things seemed real unrealistic with our female leads behavior.
So it was ok, not the worse alien romance I’ve read but definitely not the best.

Historia
In the fall of 1993, the quiet suburb of Harting Farms is shocked when children begin to vanish, and one is found dead near December Park - a great, sweeping expanse that is sunken below the streets and surrounded on three sides by vast woodlands, a place children believe is haunted. Newspapers call the abductor the Piper because he has come to lead children away, while kids whisper darker names for him in the school halls. Angelo Mazzone and his friends discover a link to the dead girl and take up the search for the killer.

Well done coming of age
Revisado: 10-08-24
5 young boys are on a journey to find a serial killer. You follow them as they go through scary woods and abandoned buildings. How they deal with bullies and police tailing them.
It was slow at some points… well not slow necessarily but it felt like there wasn’t really any action. Definitely a slow but steady build up.
There were times where I wished they went to the cops with some of their findings but it’s all part of the progress and the growth of these young teenagers.
If you like coming of age suspense this would be a good read for you.

Solid follow-up
Revisado: 07-23-24
Sometimes the second book in a series can be a little lack luster or feel off in some regards. However, this book did a fantastic job at continuing the story and the progress of the characters. The story line felt solid and fresh and although the whole book happened in under a two week time frame for the characters it didn’t feel rushed nor did it feel like it dragged on forever. It was very enjoyable to listen to.

Historia
What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

All the world's a stage...even when you're teleported to a new world. Struggling actress Cara O'Sullivan was walking down the street of Galway one moment, and the next, she was in an ancient tomb in a faraway world. Alone in the dark with her cell phone as her last tenuous connection to home, Cara sings her favorite song. To her astonishment, her song casts a spell of light into the world...and from the depths, something hears her. Challenged by a ghostly knight, a tragic necromancer, and hordes of undead, can a young woman who does not believe in heroes become one herself?

This book was so well written it tore me to shreds.
The political stuff was somewhat annoying but in general and the book as a whole was wonderful.
I was so attached to characters and it’s not super predictable.

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Holy tamoly what a ride
Revisado: 06-21-24
You know you never know what you’re gonna get sometimes when you pick up a new book from an unknown author… at least one I never heard of.
BUT it did not disappoint. I felt inspired when listening to this book. The characters are likeable except for Rioka but she might have mental health issues honestly.
But Erin is a great character and I loved the secondary characters.
I wasn’t even a quarter of the way through this one when I purchased the second book. And I plan on continuing the series.
It was a wonderful fantasy litrpg that had me laughing and crying. And the battle scenes were great.
It’s hard to put down. Highly recommend!

Historia
Suffer the Children presents a terrifying tale of apocalyptic fiction, as listeners are introduced to Herod's Syndrome, a devastating illness that suddenly and swiftly kills all young children across the globe. Soon, they return from the grave, and ask for blood. And with blood, they stop being dead. They continue to remain the children they once were, but only for a short time, as they need more blood to live. The average human body holds 10 pints of blood, so the inevitable question for parents everywhere becomes: How far would you go to bring your child back?

Heart wrenching and blood chilling
Revisado: 06-07-24
I enjoyed the raw emotion that you get from a man’s point of view. Most of the time you get the mom’s point of view and emotions when dealing with kids so it was nice to see it through a man’s eyes.
In general the concept, story, ups and downs all flowed well. It didn’t feel rushed nor did it feel slow paced. Transferring between the 4 different POVs and how they all know each other eventually really helps bring the story and connection of them together.
Would highly recommend.

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Good balance
Revisado: 05-21-24
I find there to be a health balance of action/drama and humor in this book. Our murder robot has a mind of his own and his sense of humor is pretty funny. And I liked how the humans weren’t mean to him when they found out he had total control of himself.
I look forward to the second book.
