Historia
In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. Now, in The Audacity of Hope, Senator Obama calls for a different brand of politics: a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the "endless clash of armies" we see in Congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of "our improbable experiment in democracy".

In his own words
Revisado: 12-05-08
Obama's words and ideals are impressive even on paper, but are felt so much more because it came directly from him. He has a commanding voice that begs you to listen. A great listen.

Historia
Alice's adventures, funny, inventive and disturbing, have fascinated children and adults alike since their publication. The White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat (and, of course, Alice herself) all have something "Curiouser and curiouser!" to say in this new unabridged multi-cast recording. A delightful fantasy down the rabbit hole.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 12-05-08
This group of narrators made Alice in Wonderland come alive. Each character's voice brought a different element to the story and eliminated the monotony of listening to one story teller. Definitely an enjoyable listen.

Lewis is an energetically angry guy, whose delivery pummels the listener into submission with his views on how insane American society really is.

Love it!
Revisado: 11-21-08
I've downloaded a lot of Lewis Black's stand ups, but this has to be one of my favorites. His performance in Wisconsin is not to miss. It's hard to keep from laughing out loud!

John and Jenny were just beginning their life together. They were young and in love, with a perfect little house and not a care in the world. Then they brought home Marley, a wriggly yellow furball of a puppy. Life would never be the same.

Good story but...
Revisado: 11-21-08
couldn't seem to get past the narrator's voice. There was no real connection between his voice and the words. I would though recommend this book to anyone who wants to enjoy a truly lovable, down to earth story.

Addicted to Lewis Black
Revisado: 11-21-08
Lewis Black is out of control with his stand up at Carnegie Hall. Nothing is held back and his raw and unexpected humor is addicting and hilarious.
I love the fact that not only can you download and listen to your favorite audiobooks, but the performances of your favorite comedians too.

confessions
Revisado: 11-14-08
A quick, light hearted read. Some parts you think "how can she be so stupid?" while other parts you can't help to laugh out loud. Most of the time you can guess what is going to happen, eliminating the element of surprise. Even though the end left me asking some unanswered, I probably wouldn't continue on in the confessions series. All in all, it was an entertaining listen.
