Historia
Father Solomon Lancaster—the town's dry-witted sheriff and priest at the community Catholic church—finds himself on the forefront of an investigation into a series of murders. Soon, he's fighting to match wits with the serial killer terrorizing his town while trying to justify his law-enforcement credentials to the FBI as their analysts and profilers take Crooked Creek, Indiana, by storm. But Father Solomon is hiding secrets of his own. Ones that threaten to rise to the surface as the murders continue and the investigation draws nearer to the truth.

Historia
Fletch, now newly engaged and happily living out his days in Italy, finds himself embroiled in yet another scandal. His soon-to-be father-in-law has been kidnapped and is now presumed dead, and the priceless collection of rare art that belongs to his fiancée’s family has been stolen. Ever the investigative reporter, he receives a tip about the missing art that lands him in Boston, where he walks right into a murder scene in his apartment. What clearly looks like a setup to the unfazed Fletch looks quite different to the detective assigned to the case, Mr. Francis Xavier Flynn.

Historia
The acidly funny first book starring the subversive sleuth in one of the most successful mystery series of all time. Fletch is an investigative reporter whose methods are a little unorthodox. Currently he's living on the beach. He's taking more than a little flak from his editor. She doesn't appreciate his style. Or the expense account items he's racking up. Or his definition of the word "deadline". Or the divorce lawyers who keep showing up at the office. So when multimillionaire Alan Stanwyk offers Fletch the job of a lifetime, which could be worth a fortune, he's intrigued.

Well... That Was Unexpected
Revisado: 01-01-23
I don't often write reviews. This may be my first actually. Anyway, I wasn't expecting the movie. I know the book experience isn't catered to the Hollywood audience and Chevy Chase isn't going to be chained to whatever was in a book. What I wasn't expecting was for Fletch to be such a horrible person. I struggle to find a single redeemable characteristic about the character. i only wanted to find out the answer to the mystery and tried very hard to ignore what a POS the main character was.

not as good but not bad
Revisado: 09-18-22
the only thing that took me out of the story is small pronunciations. after altered carbon and broken angels certain things were pronounced one way but this book has them different. not a big deal but at the same time a very big deal. still the narration was awesome, just those little things.

Historia
As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined...until now. The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing - and too earth-shattering in its implications - to be forgotten. In this audiobook, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it.

good book
Revisado: 08-14-21
good book. so many characters were insufferable but I think that was the point: to show the absolute delusion of some folks.
