My favorite by Lewis!
Revisado: 02-17-20
This work by C.S. Lewis is very enlightening. Packed with knowledge and answers. It makes alot of sense. The narrator was comforting, had me hanging on every word and wishing the book would never end.

In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

WOW! WOW! WOW!
Revisado: 02-01-20
This Audible is awesome! The information just keeps on coming. My favorite line was "caffeine helps us to cope with a world caffeine helped us to create". Quoting philosopher Michele Foucaults leading up to that line is brilliant! Also very well narrated. I can't imagine anyone other than the author himself reading this story out loud. Very well done on all accounts!

Lewis' legendary radio broadcasts during the war years, in which he set out simply to "explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times."

Very informative with a hint of biography. Narrator was excellent! I'm going to listen again and take notes because some parts like the bible spoke deep to me.

Throughout all time the words that Christ spoke from the mount of Beatitudes will retain their power. Every sentence is a jewel from the treasure house of truth. The principles enunciated in this discourse are for all ages and for all classes of men. Understanding what the words of Jesus meant to those who heard them, we may discern in them a new vividness and beauty, and may also gather for ourselves their deeper lessons.

I loved listening to this book! It was captivating and I listened all the way through. I like how the last chapters sum up the interpretations. This audible has a great narrator. I was taken in by his accent and hung on every word spoken. Just excellent!
