Historia
April 3rd, 3:46 AM. Planet Earth merges with the magical world of Arcadia, and a system gives humanity a choice: 40 years of indentured servitude, or entering a tutorial as a user to fight against the chaos incursion. Will doesn't hesitate—but the system thanks him for stepping into the fight by throwing him into an impossible tutorial. With little chance of survival, Will has a simple response: “Screw it. Might as well fight fire with fire."

HWFWM re-imagined
Revisado: 03-26-25
I love HWFWM but I never liked the moral dilemma the MC was always in. This re-imagines HWFWM with a MC that isn't as bothered by morals, more like PH. Evil powers, power ranking, and the God's somewhat all line up with HWFWM as well. Evil powers are just slightly more powerful off the bat, power rankings go beyond diamond, and the gods could be a combination of HWFWM and PH God systems.
ALL of this could be forgiven for me because I think it works well... if a better singular narrator was used. I absolutely hate two or more narrators reading a book, often not even finishing the book because of it. But I finished this book because I liked the story. "Then why only give the story 3 stars?" because it's too much like HWFWM so I don't feel it's right to give it more than that.

started out good, but could not finish
Revisado: 09-11-24
I liked the beginning but quickly after he arrived in the world I lost interest in the MC. He's a common Joe with a hero complex but forced into the role of a villain but still tries to play hero anyway. Worst part is that he doesn't even have the power to play the villain, let alone use those villainous powers for good. The reverb on some on the narration is horrendous and having another narrator never sounds right but having one only for 2 people? dumb. I like the idea behind the book but the execution was sub par at best. I'm sure others like it just fine but I don't and hopefully this review saves someone from buying a book they might not like. If you can live with these things then the book isn't bad.

Historia
Zane was driving home from work when the world changed. Thousands of dungeons spawned at once, taking up every inch of Earth—including the road he’s driving on. He wakes up to a totaled car and a broken leg, facing down a goblin trying to spear him through the guts. And that's just the start of it. But to Zane’s surprise, he finds himself enjoying this brutal new world. While others cower and hide, he goes on the hunt. He unlocks a unique Berserker skill—the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets.

I tried to finish, I really did.
Revisado: 05-23-24
I just couldn't finish it, 2 hours left in the book but I just don't care enough about the story to finish. MC is too much edgelord. He's got the personality of 'I don't care but I do good things anyway' kinda like a tsundere that enjoys fighting. With the MC looking for fights constantly, you'd think at least the fight scenes would be cool but I can't remember a single one. I'm sure other people will like the book but it's not for me. If you're looking to buy this, use a credit but I wouldn't recommend it.

Historia
Ryan doesn’t remember much about his life before becoming dungeon core. Only that he had a bit of a disagreement with the church - something to do with a beheading? Now reborn, Ryan begins to arm his darkness dungeon with devious traps, bestial zombies, and ill-named skeletal creations, without doing anything too evil. Well, mostly. Some adventurers just deserve a stalactite to the head. But Ryan quickly learns being a darkness dungeon isn’t all loot and bone puns.

not for me, couldn't finish.
Revisado: 04-19-24
The main character is too submissive for me to enjoy. He's constantly apologizing to his fairy that berates him for not knowing something she should have told him to begin with. The whole situation reminds me of an abusive relationship that the man is too embarrassed to get out of.
The fairy is just an exposition tool that is used to remind the reader how dumb the MC is while the MC practically can't do anything without the fairies guidance. It's like he cannot think for himself at all and if or when he does, the fairy almost immediately explains how dumb his choice was.
The MC doesn't have to have godlike knowledge but the ability to think and stand up for himself are things I'd like to see in a MC. A MC that does nothing but apologize isn't appealing to me at all and really made me not want to finish this book.
As a disclaimer, I'm not a huge fan of multiple narrators to begin with. Now with that in mind, I have to say this has made me more open to the idea of multiple narrators. I cannot say any of the narrators were good because I couldn't finish the book but from what I did listen to, I didnt like it. The fairy and MC weren't great but I dont know if that was due to the book or them. I rate performance 1 star because of the sound effects and music.

Historia
My master created me for his entertainment, leading adventurers to ruin. Betraying them at the last moment, just when their glorious victory was on hand. I have been found again by the newest member of a quartet of dungeon crawlers. Poor fool. This time will be no different. Or does it have to be? Maybe I don't need to spend eternity left in a deep, dark dungeon waiting to devour would-be heroes. Maybe, just maybe, I can take him over and use this new identity to leave and masquerade as an adventurer myself.

Revisado: 02-11-24
I loved the concept but I couldn't continue listening. The MC goes from man eating armor to righteous being at the flip of a switch, no growth whatsoever into it. maybe the story could have started with a quick run down of the armor eating all the others and slowly gaining pieces of humanity from those it ate. The 'companionship' between the party members and the armor feels forced and happened wayyy too soon. The story just felt off to me and I could not finish. Maybe it gets better after Chapter 10 but I'm not willing to find out. I'm sure the author will grow and write better in the future though, this definitely feels like their first book.

Yet the tests thrown at them by the System are not yet done.

Not a fan
Revisado: 10-31-23
Book one was okay but this just killed the series for me. I have many complaints about the book but the biggest one is that this entire book was just the MC getting beat up and shit on. I'm just not into that, I like MCs that can fight back instead of getting stomped immediately. Series could get better from here on out but I'm not willing to continue.

Sounds like the performer did the best they could with what they got but it wasn't great. The story seemed like something an angsty teenager would write for English class. I like the idea of the story, I don't like anything else of the story. I regret buying this and I do not recommend it.
