Awful narration
Revisado: 09-02-23
I have listened to the series years ago, in the era of CDs. Michael Kramer's & Kate Readings narration is far superior. It was such a great idea to narrate male POV by a male narrator, and female POV by a female.
Not so this time. Her rendering of Loial's voice is just ridiculuos. Couldn't stand it, and returned after a few chapters. Bought the original version instead.

Great story and narration
Revisado: 03-29-23
Super overall, but leaving out the prologue would have added a lot of suspense in the first third of the story.

Could make a great movie
Revisado: 07-17-22
As stated by the author, this novel was like a pop song. Too light for my taste, but I love the humor. Narrator matches it, with over the top, outdone style.

Love the humor
Revisado: 02-15-22
Very, very good story. I usually don’t like multiple narrators, but here it worked well. Love the subtle modern humor injected here and there.

A perfect story for December
Revisado: 12-10-21
Listened to it in December, it’s a perfect book for this season. Amazing tale with well developed characters, who evolve as the story progresses. The narrator did an excellent job, richly expressing emotions of each character.

Twists and turns

The tale gets darker, more dramatic, and longer. I love how the author used Russian proverbs, sometimes when I listen, I forget that I’m listening to it in English.

Revisado: 09-06-21
One of the most memorable books I’ve ever ~~read~~ heard.
A little slow to start, but mysteries and adventures await the patient ones…
I like the narrator, but unfortunately there some slight “gulping” noises that can be heard sometimes.
