Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

couldn't finish.
Revisado: 12-10-16
I honestly feel that the author didn't give the general population enough credit. The main character is not likable. But to each their own.

not really well developed
Revisado: 07-05-16
became increasingly predictable. characters are not well developed. there was a lot of lag on unimportant details and it seemed to skip over opportunities for depth. end was unexpected however.

Stephen King returns to the characters and territory of one of his most popular novels ever, The Shining, in this instantly riveting novel about the now middle-aged Dan Torrance (the boy protagonist of The Shining) and the very special 12-year-old girl he must save from a tribe of murderous paranormals. This is an epic war between good and evil, a gory, glorious story that will thrill the millions of hyper-devoted fans of The Shining and wildly satisfy anyone new to the territory of this icon in the King canon.

Good read.
Revisado: 10-14-15
The Shining was one of my favorite books and I was happy to follow up with Danny. I always wondered what happened to him. It is a bit different than I thought it would be., but a good story nonetheless. The performance was good, but not great. The voice is a little watery and his impression of a woman's voice is weird, but overall very good. There are a lot of characters and you are able to tell who is talking right away.

Historia
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her "glamour" to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story - a story that has never been told - until now. Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death.

good background
Revisado: 07-18-15
it is good to find out why the moon queen does not show herself at all. it was also nice to find out about the ring that was hinted at in Cress. I expected a little bit more depth from the character, especially from her sister. The narrator was pretty good. used appropriate inflection and enough variation with character voices that you knew who is speaking even if it didn't specify. all in all a good read, but best if you get it on sale.

interesting spin
Revisado: 04-15-15
This book had a very interesting spend on your traditional monsters. just when you think it's becoming predictable something jumps out and surprises you. the end was somewhat mixed feelings but it was really the only logical way for it to go. I don't want to give anything away. I would buy it again.
