Historia
Quinn Quicksilver was born a mystery—abandoned at three days old on a desert highway in Arizona. Raised in an orphanage, never knowing his parents, Quinn had a happy if unexceptional life. Until the day of “strange magnetism.” It compelled him to drive out to the middle of nowhere. It helped him find a coin worth a lot of money. And it practically saved his life when two government agents showed up in the diner in pursuit of him. Now Quinn is on the run from those agents and who knows what else, fleeing for his life.

For better or for worse, Google and social media - “Big Tech”, collectively - have become the new public square. Unfortunately, this public square has a watchful referee standing behind them, ready and waiting to blow the whistle if they veer too far from the preferred narrative. Americans have given these companies enormous power to select the information they read, share and discuss with their neighbors and friends.

best book I have read in a long time
Revisado: 09-05-18
It was like enjoying each beautiful piece of a puzzle. Each piece tells a story, and then each piece is connected one by one to segue into a bigger story until the whole picture comes into view, worth framing.
I enjoy audible books during my morning workout. However, with The Forgotten Garden, I listened every chance I had. I was whisked away to different time periods, different characters, as the story evolved, holding my attention hostage. I loved it!

My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

Revisado: 08-20-17
Why did it have to end? The first two books replaced any television shows we may have watched otherwise. we are invested in the characters, and the story line. Rick Podehl is superb in his narration. we are addicted! Can't wait until the 3rd book is out.

I listened to it, TWICE
Revisado: 07-25-17
Loved it. I knew my husband would, as well, so I replayed the book so he could listen. As suspected, he's hooked, too.
With most stories, I prefer to read them, myself and only use audible out of necessity (6 hour drives, working out on elliptical, etc), however, Nick Podehl does such an excellent job bringing the characters to life, I couldn't imagine enjoying this story any other way . We laughed, teared up, and planned our day around listening to the tales of Kvothe. The characters have faces and have become our friends, foes, etc. engaging. lovely. fun.

book 3 picked up the pace
Revisado: 04-27-17
enjoying the break from research. Feeling enchanted, loving the escape!
The story line can get a little long winded, but does pick up speed soon enough. narration is very good with the exception of Levi. He sounds angry and unattractive. I have to replay his words with my own version. This works just fine. Looking for the next book....
