Historia
Patrick Henry Hughes was born with a rare genetic disorder that left him without eyes and physically disabled. But he was also blessed with exceptional musical talent, able to play the piano at the age of two. Now, at age 19, he is a nationally known pianist, singer, and trumpeter who has performed at the Kennedy Center. But he's best known for playing in the University of Louisville marching band, while his devoted father pushes him in formation in his wheelchair.

Brings a Tear and a Smile

The autobiography of Patrick Henry and his dad is one of the best I have purchased from Audible. I had seen Patrick Henry and his dad featured on ESPN a few years ago. Some of the questions the book answered for me: How did Patrick Henry get into the Marching Band? How does he read music? How does his family make every day activities work? What is his dad's day like? What is Patrick Henry’s major? (It’s not music.) To know that as a family, they have come together and created such wonderful opportunities from adversities that most of us feel couldn’t be overcome. I rewound and listened to many passages a second time already. It’s so good that I plan to give copies as gifts for teachers and friends. No matter what you walk in life, you’ll relate to this story.
This autobiography is told from both Patrick Henry's and his dad's perspective, so there are two narrators. Good narration from both. You will enjoy the story and as you learn more about this family, you will reflect on your own life and vow to live your own life more positively.

Historia
With dramatic flair, Jeff Guinn delivers the definitive portrait of Bonnie and Clyde. These media-savvy outlaws appealed to America's Depression-era hunger for swashbuckling characters. Glowing radio and newspaper reports transformed these "public enemies" into celebrities - much like the cinema gangsters of the time.

This was a great story. It really takes you back in time. You get a real feel for all of the participants in the story, particularly for Clyde's family and Blanche Barrow. You'll find your self googling them! The author researched the story well. As for the quality of the recording--it was fine; I had no problems with it, except I did have to start it over once. It sounded scratchy but after I restarted it there were no issues. The narrator is fine, too.

I like to know the "why" behind the action, and this book explains it in a very entertaining way. The author cites a lot of studies. I know I will listen to it again!
