I’m an adult that doesn’t appreciate “adult language “. To me it detracts from an author’s ability to tell a story, rather than improving it. I truly enjoy reading a good story like this without the F-bomb clubbing me over the head over and over and over again. Thank you Brett Battles!

Definitely worth picking up!

I am very interested in the topic as my teenage son developed bacterial meningitis and went through two emergency brain surgeries two years ago. His recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, so the topic of neuroplasticity is something that interests me greatly. This book was amazing and I strongly recommend it.
I also hope the concepts herein find their way quickly into our public education!

I like period works when they reflect their period accurately, not so much when they’re revisionist efforts. Taking the failings of the past and making the future better is our obligation, rewriting the past to fit contemporary narratives is disappointing propaganda.
On the other hand the mystery is pretty good.

I have 6 or so SmartPass Shakespeare works. Those have the complete story with and without analysis. This is not like that. This one uses vignettes of the story to support the analysis and that’s all.

I really enjoyed the stories but the language was like a server full of teenage gamers. Won’t pick up another one from this author. I know I’m in the minority, but that really turns me off.
