Historia
At 23, Andrew Forsthoefel headed out the back door of his home in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, with a backpack, an audio recorder, his copies of Whitman and Rilke, and a sign that read "Walking to Listen". He had just graduated from Middlebury College and was ready to begin his adult life, but he didn't know how. So he decided to take a cross-country quest for guidance, one where everyone he met would be his guide. In the year that followed, he faced an Appalachian winter and a Mojave summer. He met beasts inside: fear, loneliness, doubt.

walking to criticize
Revisado: 09-25-18
I could not even finish, although I tried. I thought I was going to hear stories from the people encountered on walk. wrong, all that was offered is opinion after opinion about the people and places based on his own ideas of how things should be. the book should be renamed walking and talking. I honestly don't even believe some of it. I have been on audible for a long time and love listening to books. This was the biggest waste of my money so far, I have never just gave up on a book. sorry so negative but I bought this book based on a review, a review obviously written by his Mom. buy at your own risk.

Historia
Told with sincerity, humor, and wit, Trespassing Across America is both a fascinating account of one man's remarkable journey along the Keystone XL pipeline and a meditation on climate change, the beauty of the natural world, and the extremes to which we can push ourselves - both physically and mentally.

good writing
Revisado: 01-25-18
some good writing, but the writer rides a high horse. the story is entangled with creative ways to point out the value of his beliefs and undermine opposing views with obviously fabricated situations and conversations with characters. I enjoy his writing and I am not a liberal I am very conservative I am also an environmental minded person, I feel like I was lumped into a cage of barbarians and attacked throughout the book. the story must have a villain and a self appointed hero. book could have been better if he truly took a neutral point of view. Calling someone wrong to create an illusion your right is no argument. very good writing I mean that. I wish people could get closer to reality of life, that's what I love about hiking you are alone with reality of life sometimes dirty water is the best tasting water you ever had in your life.

Historia
Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

Hustling suckers in small towns for good stake money was practice for his goal, and when he felt ready he went to Bennington's pool hall in Chicago to find Minnesota Fats. never will you find a more direct route into the soul of a pool player than by listening to the hustler.

George Clooney is a bad man... Great book
Revisado: 10-27-16
I love the way the past and present worked together to keep the story moving without losing me in nonsense. Every word was productive towards the telling of the story. I hated Jack and wanted to help Milly. wrapped up nicely at the end. I definitely recommend this book.
